Generational Political Transition: The Importance of Experienced Leadership for Uganda’s Future, Written By Collins Dramani Assistant RDC.

Written by Collins Dramani, Assistant RDC for Maracha District. 29-7-2025. As Uganda approaches a significant generational political transition, it is essential to acknowledge the critical role of seasoned and visionary leadership in facilitating a smooth, inclusive, and stable transfer of power. This pivotal moment in our nation’s history demands a careful and thoughtful approach to ensure that we do not compromise our collective future.  In this context, President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni stands as a guiding figure whose extensive experience in nation-building and conflict resolution can provide the stability needed during this transition. His leadership from 2026 to 2031 can pave the way for the next generation, providing mentorship and laying a strong ideological and institutional groundwork for Uganda’s future. Throughout his tenure, President Museveni has demonstrated a strong commitment to youth empowerment, political education, and national development through ini...

Angualia has shocked me and many others who knew, even from a distance, the kind of man he was.  I received the message with disbelief. For a moment, I stared blankly, hoping perhaps someone had gotten it wrong. That maybe there had been a mistake. But there was no mistake. He was gone. Just like that. Amb. Angualia was not just another name in the political or diplomatic world. For me, and I believe for many young people in Maracha, he represented something rare: boldness without arrogance, service without selfishness, and a dream ...

A Call for Restraint, Unity, and Responsible Politics in Maracha East Constituency.

Written by Edema John Bosco, Former MP Aspirant for Maracha East Constituency in the 17-7-2025 NRM Primary Election. 📸: Edema John Bosco, Courtesy Photo.  I have observed with deep concern the current political trend in Maracha, especially Maracha East, which is increasingly taking an ugly and dangerous turn. Disturbing allegations have surfaced—claims of life-threatening plots and elimination schemes, which, if true, mark a serious degeneration of our politics. If false, they are equally dangerous tools of propaganda meant to discredit opponents and destabilize the community. One camp, during past electoral processes, raised alarm over plans to eliminate their candidate. Though such claims never reached public debate, the concern has lingered. Today, similar allegations are emerging, with fingers pointed at former contestants now seeking positions such as Member of Parliament and LCV Chairperson. These accusations are toxic, divisive, and threaten the very fabric of pe...
