● The NRM Party Secretariat Kampala in June 2025 duly nominated 4 candidates, Hon Driwaru Jennifer (Incumbent), Hon Ayaka Rose Atima (former woman MP), Aseru Sarah and Ajidiru Emilly to contest in the 17-7-2025 NRM Party primary election for the position of Maracha District Woman MP.

● Hon Driwaru Jennifer emerged victorious after she garnered 28,337 votes, Hon Ayaka Rose Atima garnered 11,322 votes, Aseru Sarah garnered 4,657 votes and Ajidiru Emilly garnered 2,782 votes.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank and appreciate God's power through my beloved people of Maracha District.
With much humility, I am humbled to put before you, my people of Maracha District, my gratitude for giving me your unconditional support and love. Despite all the negative forces, propaganda, and blackmail generated towards me, you still continue to entrust me with the mandate of carrying the NRM Woman MP flag. This I can't take for granted.
To all my agents with your various capabilities, you carried the mantle until you delivered victory despite all the challenges we all went through. God bless you all🙏
There would be no winner without my three sisters (Hon Ayaka Rose Atima, Ajidiru Emilly, and Aseru Sarah) who participated in the contest; therefore, I really want to appreciate and recognize each of their potential. We all learned something from each other to continue building the Maracha District.
I also appreciate and recognize the security provided by our security forces under the command of the RDC office. I thank the DPC plus his team as well as the UPDF plus the team, DISO, GISOs, and everybody who provided security and vigilance during the exercise. Be blessed.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night.
