NRM Primary Election: Incumbent LC5 Chairperson Hon Alfred Okuonzi Defeated with All His DLC Councilors as New Entrants Sweep Political Positions in Arua District.

Just as a monsoon wind that sweeps sway everything it gets on ground, a similar situation has befallen the incumbent Arua District LC5 Chairperson Hon Alfred Okuonzi after his entire Council members lost in Thursday's 24-7-2025 NRM Party Primary Elections held in Arua District.

The LC5 Chairperson Hon Alfred Okuonzi who got 6,000 votes, was defeated by Ajia Sub-county Councilor Hon Ayikobua Cosmos who garnered 9000 votes, Jerry Abejua came in the second position after he garnered 8,000 votes, meanwhile Eyokia Hope who is the Female Councilor for Vurra Sub-county to Arua District council but decided to run for LC5 Chairperson position also lost after she got 6,000 votes in the NRM party primary election for Arua District LC5 Chairperson position held on Thursday 24-7-2025.

Meanwhile, the DLC Councilors in Arua District are also reported to have been defeated by new entrants.

    A very scintillating headline but with scanty details. Kindly give us the details of all the DLC V councillors that failed per Subcounty.

Ambassador Angualia Richard Perished in a Fatal Accident.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night.
