It is with profound sorrow and deep sympathy that we extend our heartfelt condolences to the family, relatives, and friends of the Late His Excellency Ambassador Angualia Laus, who tragically lost his life in a fatal motor accident near Abi ZARDI in Arua City while on his way to Maracha.
Ambassador Angualia was a highly respected and patriotic son of Uganda. As a former diplomat and senior cadre of the National Resistance Movement (NRM), he dedicated his life to the service of this nation and to the growth and transformation of our party, particularly in Maracha District. He was a man of great wisdom, humility, and unwavering commitment to the core principles of the NRM.
On behalf of the Office of the President in Maracha and the entire NRM fraternity, we mourn the untimely loss of a leader whose legacy will remain a guiding light for many. I personally had the opportunity to engage with him on numerous occasions to discuss both personal and party matters. His counsel was always marked by clarity, patriotism, and deep conviction.
His passing is not only a painful loss to his immediate family, but also a heavy blow to the leadership and citizens of Maracha, and the entire country.
We pray for God’s comfort and strength to the bereaved family during this difficult moment, and we commit his soul to eternal rest.
