The Ayivu East Constituency MP Candidate, Hon Bakoko Zoe Bakoru, who was also the former Minister for the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development, has pledged to boost the Healthcare system in Ayivu East Constituency if she is elected.
📸: The crowd that gathered to attend the joint campaigns.She made the statement this afternoon Wednesday 9-July-2025 while presenting her manifesto to the crowd during a joint campaign in Yapi Parish, Dadamu, Ayivu East Constituency in Arua City.
Apparently, Ayivu East Constituency has 4 health centres, that is, Oreku Health Centre II, Ombidrodrea Health Centre III, Riki Health Centre III, and Orivu Health Centre IV.
Hon Bakoko Zoe Bakoru, who is a nurse by profession, decried the poor state of the Healthcare system in Ayivu East Constituency, attributing it to a leadership gap.
“Health is not all about having health centres, but also sensitizing the people on hygiene issues so that they can keep the people free from diseases”, Hon Bakoko stated amidst cheers from the crowd as she promised to embark on sensitizing the Youths and Women on how to maintain their hygiene.
She further pledged to bridge the gap in the communities, which she said, most times, expectant mothers and sick people face challenges in accessing referral hospital services.
📸: A mother, Amaniyo Monica speaking to our reporter.Amaniyo Monica, a mother in Maracha Cell, Yapi Parish in Dadamu, Ayivu East Constituency, explained their challenges that it's very hard for them to access Healthcare services, especially when at night, the situation is worse, coupled with a lack of transport means and a deplorable road network in the area.
“If any of us in this area fall sick, the only place where we can go for Healthcare services, is in Oli Health Centre IV, Arua Central Division in Arua City”, says Amaniyo who promised to vote for Hon Bako because of her manifesto and method on how she can improve the health sector in Ayivu East Constituency, Arua City.
For Ayivu East Constituency Parliamentary seat, 5 Candidates ( Hajji Anguyo Musa, Hon Bakoko Zoe Bakoru, Eng. Tiyo William Taylor Odaa, Nyakuezaibo Ezra and Hon Feta Geofrey ) were duly nominated by the NRM Party Secretariat to contest in the upcoming 17-7-2025 NRM Party primary elections.
