17-7-2025 NRM Election Petitions: Tom Aliti's Lawyers Acknowledge Receiving Petition from Aduma Yeero Justus.

The Lawyers of Dr Aliti Tom Candia acknowledge receiving the petition from Aduma Yeero Justus, arising from 17-7-2025 NRM Party primary election for Maracha East Constituency that was marred with allegations of voter bribery, intimidation among other irregularities.
Dr Aliti Tom Candia was declared winner after he polled 10,454 votes, followed by Aduma who came second after he polled 8,310 votes.

From reliable sources, the four other candidates are still dissatisfied over how the entire NRM  primary election was conducted in Maracha East Constituency.

Below here are the final results released by the NRM Party Registrar for Maracha District, from the NRM Party primary election held on Thursday 17-7-2025 for MP Seat;
● Amandu Tahiri Karim garnered 4,060 votes

● Aduma Yeero Justus garnered 8,310 votes
● Candia Tom Aliti garnered 10,454 votes
● Adima Patrick garnered 4,244 votes
● Edema John Bosco garnered 483 votes
● Ruth Molly Ondoru Lematia garnered 2,377 votes.

In a press conference addressed today 25-7-2025 by Lawyer John Musime, the Chairman of NRM Party tribunal tasked with trial of all the petitions arising from the recently concluded 17-7-2025 NRM Party Parliamentary primary elections from various Constituencies and Districts of Uganda, they have scheduled Tuesday 29-7-2025 to begin hearing and ruling on the petitions filed before the Tribunal.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night. Araku and his fellow students had  reportedly gone to pass time at water point after completing exams papers of today. Hon Oguzu Lee Denis Drags to Court, Maracha Constituency MP-Elect Uhuru Nelson and Electoral Commission.

Following the 15-1-2026 general election, the two term MP for Maracha Constituency, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis has dragged to court the Winner for Maracha Constituency MP election, Uhuru Nelson as the first respondent and Election Commission as the second respondent.  📸: Copy of the court document shared in NEWS PLATFORM, one of the WhatsApp groups in WestNile region.
