The Parliament of Djibouti has Passed a Bill to Remove the Presidential Age Limit from the Constitution.

Story published on 3-November-2025. Djibouti's parliament removed the age limit for presidents with a unanimous vote on Sunday, its speaker told AFP, opening the way for leader Ismail Omar Guelleh to run for a sixth term. Guelleh, 77, has held power since 1999 in the tiny Horn of Africa nation, a major port that hosts military bases for the United States, France, China, Japan and Italy. Djibouti's lawmakers unanimously approved the change to the constitution to remove a bar on running for president past the age of 75. The move allows Guelleh to run in the next election in April 2026, likely facing minimal opposition in a country with limited freedom of expression and press. "The National Assembly ratified the removal of the age limit today, so it is official," said parliament speaker Dileita Mohamed Dileita. Parliament had already passed the motion a week earlier in an initial vote that was then approved by Guelleh and sent back to lawmakers for the final vote. Dileit...

10 DESTINY KILLERS MEN IGNORE UNTIL IT'S TOO LATE.

1️⃣ WOMEN, WOMEN, AND WOMEN AGAIN Most men ruin their destiny chasing thighs, lips, and empty validation. You waste money, peace, and your purpose trying to impress people who don’t even pray for you. No trophies for body counts — just invisible scars and wasted years. 2️⃣ GAMBLING — THE CANCER OF DESTINY That “one more bet” you think is harmless? It’s draining your time, money, and mind. Fast money without strategy is a guaranteed shortcut to destruction. 3️⃣ ALCOHOL — THE DRUNK MAN’S DESTINY IS DELAYED You drown your future in bottles while your mates invest in businesses. A man who spends his rent on drinks inherits regret. 4️⃣ TIME WASTING — THE SLOW KILLER Scrolling endlessly. Gossiping. Arguing football like it pays salaries. While you waste hours, disciplined men are building empires. 5️⃣ FRAUD (YAHOO) — FAST MONEY, FAST MISERY Flex today, rot tomorrow. Quick money eats your peace, future, and soul. There’s no shortcut to a meaningful life. 6️⃣ SMOKING & DRUGS — ...

OPINION: LOCAL GOVERNMENT LEADERS MUST RISE TO THEIR DUTY, STOP BURDENING THE PRESIDENT WITH YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES.

Written by Dramani Collins, Assistant RDC for Maracha District. 26-10-2025. It is important to note that the current attitude and conduct of some Technical Officers and Political Leaders at the District level is costing His Excellency *Gen. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni and the National Resistance Movement (NRM) have devoted considerable time and energy to clarifying and defending Government programs, which, by mandate and jurisdiction, should be handled at the Local Government level. Local leadership remains the primary point of contact between the Government and its citizens.  Therefore, the primary responsibility of explaining, mobilising, and ensuring the success of Government programs rests directly with District and Sub-county leadership, both political and technical.  When this responsibility is neglected—whether through complacency, disunity, lack of coordination, or corruption—the burden unfairly shifts back to the President. This undermines service delivery, wea...

Here are some of the brutal differences between men and women when it comes to job opportunities.

📸: Illustration Photo. Some people are born with safety nets. Others have to build theirs from scratch. And for men — there’s no soft landing. BRUTAL THREAD FOR MEN: 1️⃣ When a woman’s world collapses, she has options. Support systems, sympathy, attention, and opportunities come rushing in. When a man’s world collapses — silence. No one comes. No one cares. 2️⃣ Society cushions women’s failure. It tests men’s. That’s why a man must always think ten moves ahead — because no one will hand you a lifeline. 3️⃣ A woman’s survival often depends on who she can attract. A man’s survival depends on what he can produce. The game is unfair, but crying about it won’t change it. Skill is your only equalizer. 4️⃣ While she’s leveraging connections, you must leverage competence. Her opportunities are emotional — yours are transactional. Be useful, not likable. 5️⃣ You don’t have beauty privilege. You don’t have sympathy privilege. You only have your grind, your discipline, and your resul...
