Mr Amandu whose alias name is called “Pasia”, promised to be an LC1 Chairperson who will always be available and at the service of the people but not an LC1 Chairperson who will be on mobile or mostly on a journey to stay or work in far away places henceforth making it difficult when people need his services as the LC1 Chairperson, if he is voted.

In Poo Cell, the incumbent LC1 Chairperson who is also an education lover / promoter, Mr Alioni Jimmy upon mentioning some achievements from his first term in office as the LC1 Chairperson noted that, his main focus was to at least make sure at least each household has one or more children who complete P.7 education so that it can help the parents or well wishers to push the child to go for technical courses or join Secondary education if the resources allow.

“I have been making sure children go to school, and in situations where the children may be bright but their parents lack money, I would give some minor works to be done by the children then I pay their monies, like for exams fees and others”, Mr Alioni explained, adding that, if he gets reelected by the people on Tuesday 28-7-2026, his next term of office (2026 - 2031) will have a robust engagement of the stakeholders in making sure there will be stiff monitoring of education in the area so that school children don't dropout of the school or loiter around public places while refusing to enter into classrooms.

He further promised to cry to the Councilors from the village (Cell) upto the District in making sure Government helps them on the issue of inadequate classroom blocks at Oribani Primary School and a culvert bridge on River Oli which links the people from Kandria Clan, Boda market and Olevu Clan to services like Oribani Primary School, Kijomoro Health Center III, Okokoro Market, Yazia Livestock market and so on.

Mr Angumani Jackson, an Independent Candidate contesting for Olili Cell LC1 Chairperson seat, while decrying some petty crime cases and school dropout rate in the area, hinted to address them if he is voted on Tuesday 28-7-2026 to become the LC1 Chairperson for Olili Cell.

Asked on situations in some other districts where LC1 Chairpersons engage in fraudulent sale of lands henceforth causing chaos, fights and legal cases, and in some occasions where some land conflicts arise, Mr Angumani commonly known as Dudua, sated that, his leadership will entirely involve Elders into land conflict resolution dialogues and meetings.

He made a vow to be a bridge to link the people and the government together so that they don't miss government programs and services.

Another Independent LC1 Chairperson Candidate for Olili Cell, Mr Afema Nelson said, his leadership will give power back to the 10-member committee of the LC1 Chairperson where each and every decision has to be made by the majority members of the committee but not an LC1 Chairperson as an individual, referencing situations like sale of land or land conflicts, which he strictly said are some those issues which he will make his 10-member committee to decide upon together.

When our news reporter asked him on the method the Electoral Commission has put in place by making sure people vote in LC1 Chairperson elections by lining behind the candidates of their choice, Mr Afema commonly known as “Nelli”, rejected the method of “voting by lining”, arguing that, it creates enenmty, hatred and it undermines the principles of “FREE AND FAIR” elections.

Stay tuned.
