VICTORY MESSAGE ON WINNING THE MP MARACHA EAST GENERAL ELECTIONS 2026.
Dear People of Maracha and Well-wishers,
Again with humility and gratitude today, I stand to confirm that indeed the voice of the people is the voice of God. I have listened, I have seen, I have experienced and I have believed to affirm this Philosophy. In confidence, I now bring you greetings from AMA TUALU and NRM fraternity following the outcome of elections on 15th January 2026, for which we celebrate the resounding win, intended for a better future of our people of Maracha East and Maracha District.
Emphatically, I discern that with God at the fore-front, compounded with your faithful
determination on the polling day, you loudly asserted and confirmed by your choices that the
VOICE OF THE PEOPLE IS THE VOICE OF GOD by casting your votes in my favour. For this, I reflect backwards, I see God in my background, and I know that every action I have taken is guided and directed by divine power for my decision making.
Today I gladly salute all the women and men from Maracha East who ensured on15th January 2026, that electoral Justice for representation was served. I extend similar appreciation to Electoral Commission for the professionalism exhibited in delivery of a free and fair elections.
Congratulations to all gallant sons and daughters of Maracha and other well-wishers for writing a new political chapter in the history of Maracha East.
In the aftermath of the unfortunate divisive Elections, I now commit and pledge to serve the
whole of Maracha East equitably in delivery of goods and Services regardless of our Political
differences as it is the values I uphold for Maracha that takes precedence against trivial
sentiments that will keep Maracha backwards and divided.
I thank my colleague aspirants for the relatively calm campaigns and for the congratulatory
messages send to me as the winner. For this I am delighted and humbled to call upon them to
join me in my efforts to sanitize and restore the pride of our people to live in harmony for us to work together for our development.
Allow me to make a pronouncement that a better Maracha has begun today which requires us
to unconditionally submit to Love one another, forgiveness, and Unity to ensure co-existence
including our brothers and sisters in the Diaspora. By realisation of these requirements, we shall definitely register a ground breaking path of recovery to our once cherished “Maracha is Beautiful”. It is worth that I have come to serve but not to be served as I am dedicated to respect and defend the social contract you have offered me to deliver.
In a very special way, I Congratulate the gallant AMA TUALU and NRM agents who sacrificed and suffered on my behalf to ensure that I became honourable member of the 12th parliament.
I also recognize and Congratulate my colleague elected members of parliament Hon. Jennifer Driwaru the woman member of parliament for Maracha District and Hon.Uhuru Nelson for Maracha Constituency upon their election. We will work as a team and ensure that NRM Party continues to grow from strength to strength in Maracha District. We will reconstruct the NRM Party in Maracha from the grassroots and ensure party leaders are fully supported to grow in leadership and good governance. We state that we have now engaged a new gear to propel Maracha NRM party for greater socio economic transformation and restore confidence and hope in the people Maracha.
In our tenure as Members of parliament, we are aware of the backlog of Services and the
complaints about service delivery. This rhetoric will not survive the birth of knowledge, decency and able representation. As the Parliamentary elections have come to an end, I implore and encourage all those who voted for me and those who did not to share in this victory for I consider the win for all the people of Maracha East which is based on equity, Non-Marginalization, Fairness, youth and women Centered, all aimed at confronting our common social and economic challenges together.
I now request that you believe in me, cooperate with me and support all our leaders to create a new Maracha. With your cooperation, I promise to leave this constituency better than I found it after 10 years. My vision for the future is hope for the hopeless especially the youth, women and the disadvantaged. I have been aware that the morale in Maracha East has been low, but now hope and dreams have been restored as reflected in the good news of NRM winning for H.E YKM with 82% victory in the concluded elections.
During the elections, I have proved that the politics of unity can defeat politics of hate, Politics of honesty can defeat politics of lies and politics of love can defeat politics of divisionism. Also that politics of positives can defeat politics of negativity. Going forward, sectarianism must not be allowed to determine the destiny of Maracha again. I am prepared to nurture and prepare the youth to take over leadership positions in Maracha. Bear with me that, I must not be judged by the content of my character only but also by the manifesto and values I have for the people of Maracha and West Nile Region.
I have come to state that I love all of you and if I love you, then I must ensure you all have
income in your pockets, you must eliminate poverty in your homes, you must have food on the table, no child should go hungry to school, you must have access to agricultural supplies, tools, seeds and inputs at subsidised cost, you must have access to better quality education, you must have access to affordable health care, you must have safe drinking water , and electricity connectivity, you must have better roads and bridges, you must have better environment, you must have better public services, you must have accountability and transparency on all projects meant to benefit you, you must have women and youth empowered, you must have the school dropout rate reduced by over 50% you must have trusted good leadership and better governance, you must be aware of and participate in all government projects, you must have useful regular bi-annual feedback and engagement meetings with me which will be termed
MARACHA DAY. We must strive for regional projects for West Nile such as roads, bridges and piped water.
Thank you, everyone who cared to vote, supported and encouraged me. Indeed, there is much
more that unites us than what divides us. We have suffered enough and GOD has now listened to our prayers to put MARACHA on the map of Uganda. In a bid to actualize our dreams, I want to assure you, I will collaborate with the NRM party and the MPs of West Nile to attract development to our region as detailed in my manifesto that has more information of my aspirations. Remember that I have come as a devoted servant who will work with all the Local Politicians and Civil Servants with an open and accommodative mind.
