Unexploded Ordinance removed from Patiko sub-county
A joint team of security Officials from 4th division have safely evacuated an unexploded Bomb that was last week discovered from Angany Village, Pawel Parish, Patiko Sub-county in Gulu district.
Patrick Komakech the Patiko Sub-county LC3 Chairperson, confirms this incident saying that Villagers digging their garden discovered this unexploded Ordinance last week.
Komakech says, they collaborated with security and the locals who kept the unexploded Ordinance safely before it was evacuated.
A Man identified only as Okot, a resident of Pawel Parish says that locals had kept the unexploded Ordinance for over a week before it was evacuated by security.
Cases of unexploded bombs have been common in Northern Uganda because of the 20 years LRA Insurgency in the past.
Some unexploded Ordinance have in the past injured and killed many people
