The National Unity Platform (NUP) flag bearer in the Jinja South Division mayoral race, Simon Kasirye has collapsed at Jinja City tally centre as he protested "inflated votes" for his opponent, Mr Faruwa Kitakule of the ruling National Resistance Movement - NRM 

According to Kasirye, some of the declarations of results (DR) forms from some polling stations were forged in favour of the NRM candidate.
