NRM MP Candidate Babanga Campaigns in Ombokoro Parish, Odupi, Vows to Intensify Mechanization of Agriculture in Terego.

The Terego East Constituency MP Candidate on NRM Party ticket, Babanga Wilfred Erima has on Saturday afternoon 15-11-2025 urged the people of Ombokoro parish in Odupi Sub-county to vote for him in the upcoming 15-1-2026 general election so that he uses the opportunity to consolidate development in Terego East Constituency by fostering on Agricultural Mechanization.

Babanga who got 11,000 votes in the NRM Primary election to become the party flag bearer, stated that, food security and wealth creation are key in the current Uganda and he hopes to restore the hope of people in Terego East Constituency by investing in Agricultural mechanization amongst the communities of Odupi Sub-county and Terego East Constituency in Terego District so that they will have money in their pockets and live a healthy lifestyle through good feeding from farming.

He decried the method of some politicians distributing hoes for the people to do farming, which at the end leaves them with only hand-to-mouth subsistence Agriculture which doesn't improve or change the financial status of the people but instead it makes them more poor.

A voter in Ombokoro parish, Anyaku Dratiru Sharon who castigated some of the politicians in the District for not allowing questions in their rallies, thanked the NRM MP Candidate Babanga Wilfred for being unique by allowing question, answer and feedback session in his campaigns but she requested him not to go forever like other Politicians once they are voted into office.

Adomati Joel, another youthful voter in Ombokoro parish, Odupi Sub-county urged Babanga to prioritize issues of youth Skilling once he is elected on 15-1-2026 to become the MP for Terego East Constituency.

In the 17-7-2025 NRM Party primary election for Terego East Constituency Parliamentary position, Babanga Wilfred Erima garnered 11,000 votes to defeat the incumbent MP and State Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban development Hon Obiga Mario Kania who got 7,000 votes, Innocent Kingi garnered 900 votes and Draga Carmelo garnered 600 votes.

It should be noted that, during the two days nomination exercise on 22-Oct and 23-October-2025, the Electoral Commission duly nominated a total of four candidates, namely: Babanga Wilfred Erima (NRM Party), Drapari Sunday (DP Party), Jadribo Victor (Independent) and Obiga Mario Kania (Independent) to contest for the upcoming 15-1-2026 general election for Terego East Constituency MP position to serve in 2026 - 2031 term of office.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Surgeons have been banned from practicing plastic surgery after a billionaire patient died during a penis enlargement procedure. Belgian-Israeli diamond dealer Ehud Arye Laniado, 65, died of a heart attack during the procedure to enlarge his penis at the Saint-Honore-Ponthieu aesthetic clinic in Paris. His star surgeon, known as Guy H, was known for operating on wealthy clients and he treated Ehud two to four times a year in procedures costing tens of thousands of euros.
