While addressing a gleeful mammoth crowd at the venue in Cubiri, Obiba Sub-county, Mr Obeta Moses described Obiba Sub-county’s strategic location at the border with DRC Congo as source of Wealth and urged the young people who have some small capitals not to relax or lament on joblessness but rather they should engage in importing items from DRC Congo, which can with time earn for them some bigger profits if they remain focused and consistent.

Mr Obeta whose persistent wealth creation ventures as a Businessman and Farmer earned him a Presidential visit in 2023, in which President Museveni toured his farms and gave him some support as appreciation for the role modeling, narrated that, he started surviving and struggling to do business when he was 13 years of age and with God's grace, his persistency took him to greater heights of developments and opportunities.

“Many years ago I did smuggling, and I must tell you people that I am a senior Smuggler! If I decide to leave everything I am doing and just come to station here at the DRC Congo - Uganda border in Obiba for Three Days, you will see great change in me”, Mr Obeta who has been the Arua Business community for more than 10 years stated as he described the Congo - Uganda border as the River Nile for the People of Maracha District.

In the same vein at the campaign venue, Mr Obeta advised the People to engage in tree planting to improve the ecosystem and also for future investment.

“Before I conclude my campaign speech, I want to thank the owner of these eucalyptus trees. We sat and addressed the rally under it! We have today benefited a lot from these trees as they provided for us fresh oxygen and shade”, Moses noted as he requested the voters who gathered to attend his campaign rally, to at least reach home and start planting some trees, even if there is no enough land but they can plant them along the boundaries of their garden so that the trees would not only improve our environment, ecosystem but they will also be sources of money in some few years to come.

As the campaigns heat up ahead of 15-1-2026 general election for Presidential and Parliamentary positions in Uganda, it should be noted that, the Electoral Commission of Maracha District on 22-Oct and 23-October-2025 duly nominated a total of 5 Candidates, Namely; Musician Agadribo Emmanuel aka Monopoly (NUP Party) candidate, Eng.
