The State Minister for Investment and Privatization in the Ministry of Finance, Hon Anite Evelyn has on Friday 10-10-2025 tasked all the 50 LC1 Chairpersons in Arua Central Division, Arua City to mobilize over 100 people per village to come and attend President Museveni’s joint campaign for Arua District and Arua City scheduled to take place on Monday Afternoon 13-10-2025 at Arua Golf Ground in Arua City.

She made the appeal during a meeting with the LC1 Chairpersons in Arua Central Division headquarters after she had finished other mobilization rallies on Friday with the various pressure groups in the Central Division to canvas support for President Museveni who was the first candidate to be nominated on 23-9-2025 to contest for the Presidency of Uganda 2026 - 2031.

“I am giving all of you an assignment as LC1 Chairpersons in Central Division Arua City to go and mobilize people to attend and show love for the President and I am also going to inform him (The President) this evening that, I have met the LC1 Chairpersons in Central Division and they have also requested to have a meeting with him after the campaign rally”, the Investment and Privatization Minister averred.
Hon Anite further elaborated to the LC1 Chairpersons whom she has assigned to canvas for more supporters and votes, to use the infrastructural developments in WestNile region, like the Health facilities, Electricity, Roads, Schools and others as a yardstick to show more loyalty and gratitude to President Museveni and the NRM Party which is the party in Government of Uganda since it took over power in 1986 after waging a guerilla war against the then UPC Party President Dr Apollo Milton Obote's government.

The former LC3 Chairperson for the then Oli Division, Hon Angupale Swadick whom President Museveni appointed in 2022 as a Deputy RDC, and now serving as the deputy Resident City Commissioner for Arua Central Division, while saying he is speaking from intelligence based information cautioned some of the LC1 Chairpersons in Arua Central Division for secretly campaigning for Opposition Candidates in Arua City, threatened to arrest them if President Museveni will lose votes in such a village.
“As an LC1 Chairperson Flag bearer on NRM Ticket, how can you win an election in your village and at the same time President Museveni fails in your village”, Deputy RDC Angupale fumed as he suggested possibilities of replacing such an LC1 Chairperson with someone else who can be loyal to the NRM party and mobilize for President Museveni.

During the meeting, the LC1 Chairpersons raised their challenges, including poor pay, which is an Exgratia of 10,000 Shs per month for the work they do, a cry Hon Anite Evelyn who sits under the Ministry of Finance, responded to by saying that, effective next financial year 2026 / 2027, all the LC1 Chairpersons in Uganda are going to start getting 100,000 Shs per month.
“What I am telling you the LC1 Chairpersons regarding monthly 100,000 Shs payment for LC1s is not a campaign but I am telling you the truth that, we have already passed this as a resolution in the Cabinet and its implementation is going to start in the next financial year”, the influential Hon Anite stated as she advised the LC1 Chairpersons not to worry about anything, adding that, the mighty NRM Party is still here and it's committed to improving the livelihood and working conditions of each and everyone.
๐ธ: President Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni's campaign program in the 13 Districts of WestNile region, which started from Pakwach District on Tuesday Afternoon 7-October-2025 after he held a morning rally in Oyam District in Lango Sub-region.
The NRM Party Presidential Candidate who is also the incumbent President of Uganda, Gen Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who first started his campaign rallies of WestNile region, with Pakwach District on 7-October-2025, will also be campaigning in Nebbi and Zombo District on Saturday 11-October-2025 and later on Monday 13-October-2025, he will address a rally in the morning in Madi Okollo district as he will later in the afternoon shift to campaign in Arua District combined together with Arua City and the venue will be at Arua Golf Ground.
It should be noted that, the Electoral Commission of Uganda had in September-2025 duly nominated 8 Candidates to contest for Uganda's top Job in the upcoming 12-January-2025 elections and the Candidates include;
1- Yoweri Kaguta Tibuhaburwa Museveni (National Resistance Movement)
2- Kasibante Robert (National Peasants Party)
3- Kyagulanyi Robert Sentamu (National Unity Platform party)
4- Mugisha Gregory Muntu Oyera (Alliance for National Transformation Party)
5- James Nathan Nandala Mafabi (Forum for Democratic Change Party)
6- Mubarak Munyangwa Sserunga ( Common Man's Party)
7- Bulira Frank Kabinga ( Revolutionary People's Party).
8- Mabirizi Joseph ( Conservative Party).
