A year ago, the NRM Party Secretariat in Kampala released its electoral roadmap, including, among others, conducting joint campaigns for candidates contesting for Parliamentary positions.

The joint campaigns for the position of Maracha Constituency MP have on Monday, 7-7-2025, 4pm turned chaotic and bloody at the last venue at Andeni in Oluvu Sub-county.

Signs of a possible chaos started brewing yesterday, 6 July 2025, at Kijomoro primary school playground rally in Okokoro Town Council when the supporters of Obeta Moses Drakua and Uhuru Nelson started clashing amongst themselves.

The situation escalated on Monday as a voter, alleged to be a supporter of Candidate Uhuru Nelson, was hit with a stone on the head by an unidentified person in Andeni primary school playground as the rally came to an end.

Three candidates (Drasiga Dan Elvis, Obeta Moses Drakua and Uhuru Nelson) were duly nominated to contest in the upcoming 17-7-2025 NRM Party primary elections for the position of Maracha Constituency Member of Parliament.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night.
