Announces Intention to contest for AYIVU East Division Constituency in ARUA CITY come 2031 to 2036.
Richard Andama who served as RDC Yumbe from 2018 to 2021 is now the National Chairman of Former RDCs, RCCs and Deputies Association ( FORCA) , Andama who is the brain_child behind the formation of AYIVU CHIEFDOM from AYIVU Elders Association is a protagonist in AYIVU'S socio_economic, cultural_political transformational landscape architect, he is a unifying factor in West Nile, He is described " The good shepherd " new breed of leaders in West Nile and AYIVU in particular, _ He took the forefront to ensuring that *AYIVU* *CHIEFDOM* is well recognized and autonomously granted identity, since *AYIVU* is a cradle land of ARUA CITY establishment! " As son of the soil " He is a blessing to the AYIVU people, Arua city and West Nile in specific! He crafted and worked well in trying to establish a strong " *Lugbara* *Kari* " with the late Lugbara Kari Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Haruna Ndema ( RIP ) , avery patient personality when it comes to serving humanity and focusing on leadership roles. Andama has been instrumental in church developments as an active, key member of pastoral council for good years and Catholic workers movement as well as Catholic action movement.
Consequently, In 2017 before becoming RDC, AYIVU elders nominated, appointed and *anointed* Andama as their interim *Prime* *Minister* of AYIVU CHIEFDOM. This blessing was confirmed and configured upon by the chief elder Muzee_ *Zakayo* *Onyolo* of former Aroi sub county and Muzee Awijua of Adumi sub county, Samson Ombatia of Pajulu, Agaboa of Oluko, Onorio of Pajulu, Aderubo Edward of Dadamu, late Hon. Angufiru Margaret of Dadamu, Muzee Diku of Manibe and Bileru Nola of Arua central were part, the 105 year AYIVU_ elder Onyolo who did the blessings, and His Highness *Mike* *Agondua* as the Chief of AYIVU then offered a junior power stick of AYIVU chiefdom to Andama and subsequent anointing at event that took place at Anyafio grand palace.
Andama became instrumental in navigating all odds to ensuring that AYIVU cultural institution takes shape and precedence amidst numerous court cases that the detractors orchestrated against the person of His Highness Agondua Mike and Andama Richard_in a bid to block the cultural_establishment and its subsequent birth and development, but to no success! All their plans eventually failed and faded off....!
In 2015, Andama contested in NRM primaries in AYIVU COUNTY as a Member of Parliament,( MP ) but complained of vote rigging, that the flag was rigged and robbed! This then would culminate to his deployment by Gen. Salim Saleh together with Hon. Hippo of Yumbe to join the main Museveni National Task Force at NRM Secretariat plot 17 Kyadondo under Hon. Janat Mukwaya who served as_ task force chair, Mukwaya was later appointed by president Museveni as Minister of Gender Labour and Social Development.
Nevertheless, Andama who worked hard to deliver Museveni's win in 2016 general elections, because of his bravery, dedication, resilience, commitment and mobilization skills, he cought the president's eyes, eventually he was appointed a full RDC of Yumbe District in 2018 where he diligently executed his mandate and also served as chairman of West Nile Regional RDCs representative( Dean) office of the president_ and Regional co_ chairman of joint security_ cooperation with governor YEYI_ River State of South Sudan. This subsequent assignment elevated Richard Andama's influence, he became so helpful to the community in this docket, because of his endowed wisdom and brilliance, he was rated the best RDC in the region for managing covid_ 19 in a district with the highest refugee population in Africa and third in the world ! Because of this gesture, BBC appreciated him and interviewed him about the methods used so as to apply the same methodologies for areas that where hit_ hard! Likewise, his robust stance against corruption and blocking mafias from exploiting/ cutting down, Kei Forest Reserve for Afzelia_ tree species engared the perpetrators to plot his removal from office_this didn't add_up well in Ugandan context and corruption loving individuals, he was maliciously, remotely and politically down_ played, unjustly interdicted from office under unclear reasons and circumstances and was neither given any fair hearing nor justice for appeal...! to date, his unwavering support to the NRM party continues to resonate and he remains loyal to president Museveni for the last five years since 2nd July, 2020, a botched removal.
Richard a celebrated and genius political_orator, entrepreneur, policy & reforms advocacy consultant, father to *two* *sets* of twins and one of the decorated mobilizers in West Nile is a very young, brilliant, favoured by God icon ! a strong cadre of NRM party for more than two decades now is still forward looking! He started his mobilization as a student leader way back 1993, and his entire primary life, he was a prefect and student leader in his entire school life, institutions of higher learning! Andama who was nicknamed by his colleague students as " *Pota* " was a brand name for the brave, gifted, intelligent, and high in reactivity series, " Pota" is an affinity for *potassium*,_ *brilliance* for those who still remember chemistry ! _ this name is still being called by all his cohorts of St. Joseph's College Ombaci.
In a turn of events, Andama recently had shown interest to run for presidency, his aspirations for the top job on the land is a testament and his unwavering commitment for a dream come true, that he has leaved and wants to keep alive, nurture, pursue as he prepares to join the August house ( *Parliament* ) in preparation for the top job.
This he says, will prepare him for the top job on the land as he continues to build himself with more knowledge, education, training, wisdom and exposure to lead Uganda in a more mature, robust, experienced, technical, focused, professionally and sustainable manner where "good governance", fundamental human rights practices shall take precedence!
His announcement to run for presidency was received by Ugandans from within and entire diaspora as a bold move in the right direction! He was overwhelmingly congratulated by West Nilers, relatives, friends, OBs, OGs, fellow RDCs, RCCs and deputies, colleague entrepreneurs, and wanainch from all walks of life. Infact some wished him to take the mantle immediately come 2026, but because Andama is a more organized, civil and patient with leadership, as believer in Bible, Ecclesiastes chapter 3, is inevitable, he plans his movements according to the will of God.
Andama's insistence to face any winner of a candidate in AYIVU East Division constituency is a resolve that shall go deep in unals of political roadmap in Arua city and Uganda in particular! The probability that whoever wins the forthcoming NRM primary elections and general elections slated for 16th July, 2025, and January 2026 respectively is a ball at the goal post!
currently , Hon. Feta faces off Engineer Tiyo Odaa, Former Minister of Gender Labour and Social Development, sister Hon. Bakoko Ba'koru Zoe, Lawyer Mr. Nyakuezaibo Ezra and others who want to come as independents eg. MR. Anguyo Godfrey, and Mr. Ayikobua NUP in general elections of January 2026.
Andama wishes all of them success, constructive politics and good health, he will support whoever takes the seat and work with to develop our AYIVU East people, Arua city and West Nile in general.
Hon. Feta is yet to work hard, improve and convince voters on his areas of weaknesses and consolidate his plans to finish on projects he had started but never finished! He has an uphill_task thou, one of his failures is failing to invest in a robust education, by creating a rappor with institutions of learning and teachers welfare, including teachers housing and sponsoring of bright sons and daughters within his constituency catchment area, failure to lobby and advocate for infrastructural development, including roads, bridges, and poor electricity connectivity in his Constituency for establishment of local industries and manufacturing plants, yet the region is now connected to the National grid. unbalanced facilitation of health centers with drugs, beds and x_ray machines to timely diagonise communicable complications, failure to create youth Skilling institutions to curb rampant unemployment_ alcoholism and drug_abuse, in the constituency where youth hang on ropes_seated at every trading_center, rampant school drop_out and early teenage pregnancies in the constituency, lack of empowerment of women and youth in financial literacy using NGOs, CBOs, foundations, Associations through Saccos, among others as additional mandate to his seat in addressing community gaps! As a leader one can't use core responsibilities of parliament as a scapegoat not to meet needs of the society! One ought to go beyond ones nose, past ones mandate! A leader must be a lobbyist a critical thinker!
Hon. Feta is the sitting chairman West Nile parliamentary Caucus, this trust is eminent to leverage on as a good leader if he plays his card well, the ball is now in the pitch!
Lastly, as a National mobilizer it's my mandate to ensure that AYIVU Division Constituency is well represented based on this eminent roadmap in order to curtail political_despondency or political_cult indoctrination but service delivery be used as a yardstick for argument.
As AYIVU East Division Constituency, we shall continue to impress, and practice mature, healthy, competitive politics, whose agenda and foundation ought to gravitate on a firm ideology, tolerance, patience and sustainability but not being desperate for power without creating impact and failure to render adequate service delivery to wanainch!
