Bitter Quarrel Emerges Between Two Aspiring 2026 - 2031 Woman MP Candidates in Maracha District, Aseru Sarah and Bako Judith.
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
In 2021 general elections, Bako Judith contested as an Independent candidate for the seat of Woman MP Maracha District but she lost in third position after she garnered 2,753 votes in the 14-1-2021 elections.
Hon Bako previously served as Female Youth Councilor and Secretary for Social Services in Maracha District Council before joining the Woman MP race in 2021.
On 20-4-2024, Bako Judith was appointed Assistant Resident District Commissioner for Maracha District and later in June - 2024, she was transferred to Arua City as the Assistant Resident City Commissioner incharge of Central Division Arua City.
Ms. Aseru Sarah, having been actively engaged in campaigns for the position of Makerere University Guild president some years back, Aseru is currently for further studies in Canada.
Very quiet, humble and little known to people, Aseru Sarah who is the daughter to Hon Adroa Alex Onzima, a four time MP of Maracha County 1996 to 2016.
As political season looms in Uganda, a bitter querrel ensued on Tuesday evening 11pm 21-1-2025 between two candidates, Hon Bako Judith and Aseru Sarah who are both vying for the sear of Maracha District Woman MP 2026 - 2031.
The bitter exchanges started on a calm note but immediately escalated into a flame, in one of the WhatsApp groups called "MARACHA DISTRICT NRM GROUP".
Read below here the exchanges the two daughters of Maracha District had as they tried to show supremacy and tear themselves apart in NRM Party WhatsApp group.

[1/21/2025, 11:16pm] Aseru Sarah: Pointing fingers is not good. Talk to him first before you tarnish our party’s name in the name of gossip with no evidence. But if it is true it’s unfortunate and also i have not talked to the registra but we need to look at how he is playing with the voter’s registration and some people are complaining that they were removed so these irregularities have to be handled and if someone can’t manage the office then the solution is one.,and we hope that it’s just propaganda. Some of us may laugh but it’s not funny and that gentleman has a valid point. Let’s leave some room for explanation but seems some of us already want to fight.

It's a do or die because once we have weak flag bearers, opposition shall jubilate and win smartly.
