Yumbe Regional Referral Hospital Benefits from Health Camp, Medicines and Medical Equipments Worth 500 Million Shs Lobbied by Woman MP Hon Avako Melisa.

Flock of patients with Hernia, Eye infections and other diseases that need surgery, thronged in Yumbe Regional Referral Hospital during a a Health camp organized by Çare Doktorları organization, an organization based in Turkey.
The health camp which started last weekend was lobbied by the Woman MP for Yumbe District Hon Avako Melisa Neima through a Turkish based organization.
The principal thermo clinical officer heading the Eye department at Yumbe regional referral hospital, Mr Miso Onesmus who acknowledged the Woman MP Hon Avako Melisa as the person who lobbied and linked the regional referral hospital to the Turkish based, Çare Organization, rallied the general public to have routine body checkups in order to know their health conditions.
Gule Fred, a patient from Koboko District who lived with Harnia for close to 21 years and he eventually got operated by the Doctors from Çare Doktorları organization, narrated the pain he went through in the past and how he now feels relieved after a successful Hernia surgery during this health camp in Yumbe Regional Referral Hospital.
Deputy Resident District Commissioner for Yumbe District, Mathew Vuni Vuyaya while complementing the organization for these efforts of improving service delivery in the health sector of Uganda, said, diseases have no colors and boundaries.
Hon Avako Melisa Neima Gule, the Woman MP for Yumbe District affirmed that, after she was elected and sworn in 2021, she wrote and delivered to the Turkish embassy, a concept note detailing numerous challenges the people of Yumbe District and WestNile region go through ranging from health care challenges among others, which she said, was approved and considered for funding and implementation after Çare Doktorları organization, one of the none profit organizations in Turkey picked interest in what she submitted.
During this same health camp, the organization also donated assorted medical equipments and medicines worth over 500 million shs for the regional referral hospital which serves the people of WestNile region, South Sudan and DRC Congo.
