Arua District.
The community members and Lazebu Health Centre II in Logiri Sub-county, Arua District have for the first of its kind, received a clean water source.
Both Lazebu health center II and the community Members around have been relying on a spring water source that has lasted for over 30 years now.
The Arua District water officer, Eng Odongo Patrick who gave detailed information about the water project said, one of their core roles is to offer safe water to all the government institutions.
Hon Bilea William the LC5 Vice Chairman who also doubles as the Councilor representing the people of Logiri Sub-county to Arua District council thanked the governornment and also appealed to the residents in the area and the health center staffs to take full control of the Borehole.
The incharge for Lazebu Health Centre II, Adroru Rebecca noted lack of safe water as one of the biggest challenges that was hindering their services at the health centre.
LC5 Chairman for Arua District, Hon Alfred Okuonzi said, the health facility has been surviving on an old spring water source constructed in 1995.
Jawoko Denis who described the project as implementation of NRM manifesto urged the concerned stakeholders in the area to jealously guard the Borehole.
