FDC Najjanankumbi Faction Tells the People of WestNile Region to Overthrow NRM Government.

The FDC Najjanankumbi faction led by Eng Patrick Oboi Amuriat, Hon Nandala Mafabi, Hon Geoffrey Ekanya among others which last year July 2023 got sharply splitted away from the FDC Katonga faction led by Rtd Col Dr Kizza Besigye, Amb Waswa Birigwa, Erias Lukwago, Hon Ssemujju Nganda Ibrahim, Hon Mwijuke Francis among others, has on Saturday 27-July-2024 taken to Arua City, WestNile Region, their message of taking over power in Uganda.


During the massive rally held at Arua Primary school playground and it included electronic registration of people to join the FDC party, the event was graced by Eng Patrick Oboi Amuriat the FDC Party President, Hon Nandala Mafabi the FDC Party secretary general, the Party vice Chairpersons from the regions of Uganda, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis the MP for Maracha Constituency, Hon Fungaroo Kaps Hassan the former MP for Obongi Constituency, Hon Geofrey Ekanya the MP for Tororo County, Hon Muzaid Khemis the Mayor for Central Division Arua City among others.




The Member of Parliament for Soroti City West, Hon Jonathan Ebwalu who was part of the officials that traveled to Arua City for the event on Saturday, urged the people of WestNile region not to wait from FDC party leaders on what to do but rather they should wake up to overthrow the NRM government out of power.


Maracha Constituency MP Hon Oguzu Lee Denis who is a staunch member of FDC party rallied the people in WestNile region to join and get registered in the FDC party for a better Uganda and service delivery.


Hon Geoffrey Ekanya the MP for Tororo County advised the people of WestNile region to remain strong.


The FDC Party secretary general, Hon Nathan Nandala Mafabi who doubles as the MP for Budadiri West Constituency in Sironko District, appealed to the excited crowds at the event in Arua City to be united and lovely so that they can take over the Country's leadership from NRM party.

Eng Patrick Oboi Amuriat, the FDC Party President who wooed the crowd to reject NRM party and join FDC party equal treatment and service delivery, regarded WestNile Region as a forgotten region in Uganda under the NRM government, a narrative he affirmed by saying that, President Museveni treats them by giving remnants of what has been eaten by other regions.

The FDC party President Eng Amuriat, upon narrating the heroic achievements of former Ugandan President Iddi Amin Dada, told the crowd which gathered in Arua City on Saturday that, WestNile is hated by President Museveni the way he hates former President Iddi Amin, whose body, he did not only refuse to be brought back to Uganda for a decent burial but President Museveni also said, he would not even touch the dead body of President Iddi Amin Dada using a long stick.


The FDC Najjanankumbi faction also used this opportunity of the massive gathering in the event to declare to the people of WestNile region, their Parliamentary candidates for 2026 - 2031 general election in the various Constituencies, as follows; two-term MP Hon Oguzu Lee Denis for Maracha Constituency seat in 2026 to 2031, Hon Muzaid Khemis for MP Central Division Arua City 2026 - 2031, Mawa John for MP Maracha East Constituency 2026 - 2031, Achan Hellen for Woman MP Arua City 2026 - 2031, John Anguyo for MP Vurra Constituency 2026 - 2031 and Hon Fungaroo Kaps Hassan for MP Obongi Constituency 2026 - 2031, among others.

Ambassador Angualia Richard Perished in a Fatal Accident.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night.
