Over 10,000 People Attend Ezama Ham Mizamil Thanksgiving Ceremony in Arua City Amidst Inconvenience from Rain.

Ezama Ham Mizamil Thanksgiving Ceremony whose main purpose was to thank President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the various achievements, appointments and services delivered in the WestNile region ever since the NRM took over power on 26-1-1986, has been held.


The Ezama Ham Mizamil Thanksgiving held on Saturday 8-June-2024 at Arua Primary school ground in Arua City attracted over 10,000 people across the WestNile region including Political pressure groups, sacco and savings groups, farmers groups, business association groups, RDCs, UPDF / Police Commanders, Politicians, the Wananchi in WestNile region, the Nubian community, the Sudanese community and the Congolese community living in WestNile region among other dignitaries.

Mr Eranya Hamza the Central organizing committee Chairman for the event stated that, they came up with this idea to entirely celebrate gratitude and service delivery in the region under the able leadership of HIS Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The Arua District Muslim Supreme Council Khadi, Alhaji Abu Jaffar prayed to God to guide and restrain the deputy RCC Mr Ezama Ham Mizamil from any form of temptation in his line of duty.

Central Division Arua City Deputy RCC Mr Ezama Ham Mizamil who is the brain behind organizing of this Thanksgiving Ceremony for himself, for President Yoweri Kaguta and also for the Almighty God, expressed his joy over the massive turnup of the people as he described leadership as a gift from God that can never be bought with money.

Woman MP for Arua City, Hon Osoru Mourine who pledged her total support for the urged the deputy RCC Ezama Ham Mizamil in his leadership for serving the people, urged him to remain loyal to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni who entrusted him with those appointments

Guest of Honour at the function, Mr Icogor Charles who is the Resident City Commissioner for Arua City, thanked his deputy Mr Ezama Ham Mizamil and the Central Organizing Committee of the event for thinking it wisely to hold such a memorable event in the history of WestNile region.



The Ezama Ham Mizamil Thanksgiving Ceremony whose first object was to appreciate President Museveni for appointing Ezama Ham Mizamil to work in office of the Presidency, secondly for the overall appointments of people from WestNile region to serve in various capacities, departments in government of Uganda and thirdly for the developments rendered in the region ever since the NRA / NRM took over power on 26-1-1986 after five years of guerilla war struggle, becomes the first of its kind Thanksgiving Event of this nature to be held in WestNile.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city.
