Terego District Celebrates 38th NRM Anniversary.




The political, technical and residents in Terego District have on Friday 26-1-2024 joined rest of the Ugandans in celebrating the 38th Anniversary of National Resistance Movement (NRM) party.

Dignitaries at the event recounted achievements of the National Resistance Movement ever since it took over power by gun on 26-1-1986.

A historical in NRM Party, Mr Andama Richard J Ferua while quoting the Biblical Nicodemus who went to meet Jesus at night, urged opposition people like the Terego LC5 Hon Saka Wilfred who is an Alliance for National Transformation (ANT) party member, to join the NRM party.

The Terego District LC5 Chairman Hon Saka Wilfred who has been reported severally to security operatives, as an opposition who is frustrating government programs, has defended himself as a politician who is weeding out the rot in government.

Former Aiivu Sub-county LC3 Chairman Hon Afadriayo James and a member of the party structure,  who represented the NRM vice Chairman during the celebration, says the NRM party structure in the district has been acting as Whistleblowers to make sure the resources government sends to the district are put into rightful use.

Terego District Woman MP, Hon Obigah Rose who pursued her education career on State House Scholarship, expressed her happiness over the tremendous achievements the NRM Party has done in the Country.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night. Araku and his fellow students had  reportedly gone to pass time at water point after completing exams papers of today. Hon Oguzu Lee Denis Drags to Court, Maracha Constituency MP-Elect Uhuru Nelson and Electoral Commission.

Following the 15-1-2026 general election, the two term MP for Maracha Constituency, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis has dragged to court the Winner for Maracha Constituency MP election, Uhuru Nelson as the first respondent and Election Commission as the second respondent.  📸: Copy of the court document shared in NEWS PLATFORM, one of the WhatsApp groups in WestNile region.
