When my daughter Robinah Lee Munguleni rang me, I was at College Inn Wandegeya. She said while crying, "Daddy, baba has died!"
Daddy! as I often called you,
Today, Saturday, December 9th, 2023, marks ecactly 4 years ever since you departed and left us in the hands of this cruel world. You used to sit under the mango tree where I now sit wondering whether you will come back. You produced us, raised us up, fed us, gave us medical care, housed us, dressed us, provided us with security etc. You taught us to relate well with *ALL* human beings. You taught us love. But above all daddy, you showed us how to love and believe in God and educated us. We would have been orphans if you never did all these. You loved us so much! We are proud of your life but only came to know you as a great daddy in the eyes of many when you had left us. You impacted on so many lives and it's what makes us strong. We promise to keep your legacy alive! You are dearly missed by your children Atia, Edo, Tuuna, monika, nunu, meleki and I. Your grand children Oli, Okia, Anyole, Rachel, Robinah, Petero, Paulo, Daniel, Lonah, Julius, Wawa, Dinah, Marylee, Mugi and Ritah. We have tried our best to give mummy comfort after you left though you had given her more. Mummy misses you so much!
I always remember song number 36 in Lugbara.
"Ma ovu ayikosi adaru Opi Yesu.........."
"Yesu lema lema avasi...."
You fought a good fight, finished the race and kept the faith."
2nd Timothy 4:7.
God gave you to us and took you away from us. May His name be praised.
May your soul continue to rest in everlasting peace.
Amen! Amen! Amen!
