LET'S RE-INVENT OUR COUNTRY- MINISTER MAO.




The Minister of Justice and Constitutional Affairs, Hon Nobert Mao who has represented His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta at the hand over of tractors for West Nile, Lango and Acholi regions to teams led by MPs from the districts at Namalere National Agriculture Mechanized Referel Centre, has called for Ugandans to reinvent our country. " We are so late in some areas, we need to reinvent our ways of doing agriculuture, open up community lands and empower them to produce for the market, other than producing for the stomach, times have changed and we need to change to be competitive within the region of East Africa, Africa and the world".

The function was graced by Hon Frank Tumwebaze, Minister of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries which is the led agency in fulfulling the Presidential pledge of availing tractors to all districts in Uganda, as discussed with NRM Parliamentary Caucus, Hon Hamson Obua, Government Chief Whip, along with his whips Hon Atima Jackson Lee Buti for West Nile, Hon Ayoo Tonny for Lango and Hon Anywar Ricky for Acholi. In attendance also was Hon Joanne Okia MP for Madi Okollo, Hon Etuka Isaac MP Upper Madi, Hon Tom Aza MP Moyo County, Hon Lematia Ruth MP Maracha County, Hon Jennifer Driwaru MP Maracha District, Hon Leku Joel MP Terego West, Hon Ojara Mapendenzi, Hon Akol Anthony, Hon Aber Lillian MP Kitgum District, Hon Pacutio MP Pakwach, Hon Isaac Otimagu, Hon Adriko Yovani, Hon Dr Bhoka MP Obongi County, Hon Eunice Otuko Apio, Hon James Akena among many other MPs. Also RDCs, CAOs and Production Officers were in attendance. 

"We are infact on slow pace, so we need to start running very fast to catch up with others, as Uganda we have to turn from a country importing food, to start exporting food, since we have the potential to do so and improve on our income as a country, this noble project of giving tractors is to empower communities to become more productive". noted Hon Nobert Mao.

Hon Hamson Obua quoted the gospel of John 1: 46  "And Nathanael said unto him, Can there any good thing come out of Nazareth? Philip saith unto him, Come and see. Nathanael said to him, "Can anything good come out of Nazareth?" Philip said to him, "Come and see." Many people have been saying that is there any thing good that comes from NRM Parliamentary Caucus, but today let them see, when we sit and discuss, we do it for the good of the people of Ugannda. 

" As a baby of the caucus, I with my regional whips of West Nile, Lango and Acholi, will be in the regions to ensure that our people get to know that NRM delivers on it's promise and many more things in our manifesto are on the way, even the cities, municpalities and town councils will also be benefiting from this initiative, but most importantly am very thankful to His Excellency President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni for the support to our people" noted Hon Obua 

"We at Ministry of Agriculture, Animal Industry and Fisheries, charged with creating an enabling environment in the Agricultural Sector,  carring out the role of  enhancing crop production, improving food and nutrition security, widening export base and improved incomes of the farmers. and very passionate about opening up lands and intensive productivity, to ensure social economic transformation of our communities, so we will procure more tractors subsquent budgets to continue the support to our communities" noted Hon Frank Tumwebaze.

Wedded Ayivu West MP Lematia John Fights Over Another Woman.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city. Drama ensued on Easter Sunday 31-3-2024 at Dream Land Hotel located at Kuluva trading center along Arua-Nebbi highway in Arua district when the legislator and the technician engaged in a fight reportedly over a woman identified as Faith Eyotaru 25, a relationship officer at Victoria University Kampala.
