First Daughter, Patience Museveni hailed Parliament for passing into law the Anti-Homosexuality Act, saying Uganda sided with God instead of the devil, in this spiritual battle by choosing to criminalize homosexuality.

"The passing of the Anti-Homosexuality Act which has garnered so much international backlash, is at the heart of the spiritual war that is raging allover the world. Uganda has sided with the Lord and I congratulate the Parliament and the President for standing firm with that decision. There was great national prayer backing up that decision, the question is, what happens next? Where do we go from here?” Patience Museveni.

Patience Museveni also urged Ugandans to take advantage of the redemptive winds of God that are moving across the world, by seeking for redemption of Uganda, stating that God has a unique redemptive purpose for Uganda that the country needs to take advantage of.

"It is important that we understand the moments we are living in today, the foundation of nations is being shaken if you just look the news and what is going on around the world global power structures that have been in place for generations, are collapsing and new ones are rising. The winds of God’s spirit are moving across the world and it is so important that we don’t miss this moment of visitation. God has a unique redemptive purpose for Uganda and it is crucial that as leaders in different spheres of influence, we understand this so that we move with what the Lord is doing," said Patience.
