Well Wishers in Westnile Region Launch Shs 40M Fundraising to Build House for Maracha Muslim County Khadi.



During a fundraising ceremony where Maracha District woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer was the Guest of Honor and Maracha East Constituency MP Hon Ruth Lematia Ondoru was the Chief Guest, Christians, Muslims, Business fraternity and politicians from Moyo, Yumbe, Koboko, Maracha, Arua and from other different parts of WestNile region on Sunday 10-Sep-2023 kicked off a campaign to raise 40 million Ugandan shillings to buy land and build a decent house for Maracha Muslim County Khadi Mr Adam Kassim Ibrahim who is currently sleeping in a grass thatched house.

Secretary of the ceremony Mr Aziz Abdalla alluded that, the people at Nyoro in Pabura Parish, Nyadri Sub-county thought it wise to permanently absorb Mr Kassim to live and spend his life with them in Maracha District.

Despite several financial challenges people are facing, we have decided to come and stand together with him in this fundraising drive, Ms Lucy Candiru a Christian from Maracha town council said, as she noted three major factors; Love, Peace and Unity that has attracted then to him.

She says, Mr Kassim united Muslims, Catholics and Protestants in Maracha District.

The person for whom the fundraising drive has been organized, Mr Kassim Adam Ibrahim who is also the Immum for Hudha Mosque Nyoro in Pabura Parish, Nyadri Sub-county in Maracha East constituency, Maracha District stated that, one of the agendas he is promoting is "Unity and Love".

Mr Ibrahim, a Ugandan citizen from Yumbe District but migrated in 2003 to live in Nyoro, Pabura Parish in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District urged the general public to desist from religious or tribal divisionism.

Christian church preacher Mr Dradrile Samuel from Nyoro church of Uganda applauded the County Khadi for his humbleness and for not been segregative person.

Mr Dradrile advised other Christians to join the drive.
