Terego District Residents Receive Motorised Water System Worth 180M Shs Lobbied by Hon Leku Joel.

The people of Terego West Constituency in Terego District have been blessed with two motorized piped water system constructed by Islamic Centre for Education and Research.

The two water systems whose projects costed 180m Shs was lobbied from ICER, by the area Member of Parliament Hon Leku Joel.

Oriajini mosque Immum Omar Shaffie says this intervention to supply them with motorized piped water system has come at the right time.

Ms Charlotte Letaru, a midwife at Oriajini health centre III upon narrating their challenges they face as a health facility when delivering pregnant women, appreciated the water project and she is optimistic that, the availability of water will improve their services at the facility.

Eng David Adrooa a personnel from Terego District Engineering department emphasized on a letter from Ministry of Water and Environment which is directing the districts and community members to form Committees incharge of water management.

He thanked the Community members for supporting the project and also thanked the NGO for the initiative.

The Terego West Constituency MP Hon Joel Leku said, these are fulfillment of his 2021 election manifestos, as he explained why he selected some of the needy areas to benefit from the motorized water project.

Islamic Centre for Education and Research (ICER) also slaughtered cows and distributed out the meat to beneficiaries of the water project to celebrate the commissioning.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city.
