Assistant Community Development Officer (ACDO) for Agaii Town Council, Mr Gabriel Drate who was the trainer for the training said, he has ever trained people in the past regarding trainings of this nature, and he then thought of approaching the local NGO (Aseru Maracha Foundation) to organize such trainings because from an analysis he conducted, what affects most of our community members is "rigid mindset" towards development.
He reiterated that, he did follow-ups on those he trained in the past and discovered that, such trainings have positive impacts on the people who receive the knowledge.
Vice president for Aseru Maracha Foundation, Mr Francis Govule noted that, they identified "Agriculture" specifically for this training because they realised, many of the Youths are idle and seated by the roadside doing nothing.
Agriculture been the backbone of Uganda, Mr Govule said the training on commercial Agriculture is intended to open the brains of Youths and Women on how they can be able to identify opportunities.
This training on Commercial Agriculture becomes the second training offered by Aseru Maracha Foundation after their first training was launched on Liquid Soap making in June 2023 spread across Maracha District.
