Information is Power (iip) Brings to You a Documentary Highlighting the Two Years Achievements of Hon Maneno Zumura, Woman MP Obongi District.


As our commitment to inform the uninformed, we are taking you this time to Obongi District to explore and bring to you the two years achievements of the Woman MP Hon Maneno Zumura.

Born on 12-February-1988 at Odonga west village, Odonga parish, Aliba sub-county in the current Obongi District, Hon Maneno got elected as Woman MP of the District on National Resistance Movement (NRM) Party ticket on thursday 14-1-2021 after garnering 3,868 votes, followed by Joyo Harriet (Independent) garnered 3,122 votes,  Ataya Suraya (Independent) garnered 2,696 votes, Edea Joyce Kupajo (FDC) garnered 2,173 votes and lastly Ayike Rehema Bale (Independent) garnered 776 votes.

Hon Maneno Zumura who was sworn on 19-5-2021 has registered several other noticeable achievements in Obongi District besides her Legislation, Budget and Oversight roles in Parliament of Uganda as required by the law.

1. She supported health care system through supply and  installation of solar panels in Malanga health centre II in Ewafa Sub-county, Obongi Constituency, Obongi District.

2. To promote savings culture, she organised women groups in the parishes to do savings.

3. Being a staunch NRM party member, she funded National Resistance Movement (NRM) party activities by organizing NRM delegates conference and facilitating annual 26th January NRM Party day celebrations in  Obongi District.

4. Young-energetic Hon Maneno Zumura being a resourceful person, she together with her colleague Hon George Bhoka, they successfully lobbied for a total of 40 beds from Ministry of Health and distributed them to health centers in the district.

5. Having being raised by a mother and also having that experience of being a mother, Hon Maneno Zumura bought utensils and donated them to all the villages in Obongi District.

6. To show them all hope is not lost, she empowered the vulnerable women in the district with both cash monies as capital and also offered them financial literacy trainings.

7. She lobbied for maize seedlings and distributed them to all the farmers to boost food security in the district.

8. As the proverb goes, "God First", the Woman MP supported the churches and mosques in Obongi district by donating cements for construction.

9. Donated uniforms to catholic and protestant churches in Obongi District.


10. To support youth groups, Hon Maneno donated  jet washing machine.


11. She also endeavored on empowerment of education sector by offering scholarships to students in Secondary School and University.


12. Supply of scholastic materials (Mattresses, Books, Mathematical sets & Buckets) to first graders and second graders in Primary Leaving Education (PLE) in the past two years.


13. Lastly but not least, Hon Maneno lobbied for water project worth 400 million shillings from None Governmental Organization.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night. Araku and his fellow students had  reportedly gone to pass time at water point after completing exams papers of today. Surgeons fined $60,000 and banned permanently from profession after billionaire died during penis enlargement surgery.

Surgeons have been banned from practicing plastic surgery after a billionaire patient died during a penis enlargement procedure. Belgian-Israeli diamond dealer Ehud Arye Laniado, 65, died of a heart attack during the procedure to enlarge his penis at the Saint-Honore-Ponthieu aesthetic clinic in Paris. His star surgeon, known as Guy H, was known for operating on wealthy clients and he treated Ehud two to four times a year in procedures costing tens of thousands of euros. Wealthy Omega Diamonds owner Ehud would be operated on out of office hours. He had been having injections into his penis to make it appear larger. An investigation was swiftly opened into potential manslaughter chargers following his death, though it soon shifted to charges of failing to assist a person in danger, drug offences and practicing medicine without a licence.
