The district health department of Maracha has on Monday 22-5-2023 received 20 beds lobbied from Ministry of health by the district woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer.
The beds which were bare without mattresses, took some time for the Woman MP Hon Jennifer to buy mattresses and its covers to make it complete for usage in the various health centers in the District.

Maracha District Resident District Commissoner Mr Ayikobua Festus who flagged off the distribution of the beds, thanked Hon Driwaru Jennifer for thinking about the health department by lobbying those beds.
Mr Festus said, some health centers in Maracha District are really in dire need of beds, adding that, the 20 beds have been distributed to 6 health centers in the District, with Wadra health centre III receiving 5 beds, Tara health centre III received 5, Kijomoro health centre III received 2, Oleba health centre III received 2, Kamaka health centre III received 2 and Eliofe health centre received 4 with their mattresses.
He cautioned the health workers across the District to put the beds in good use but not exploiting them.
Mrs Munduru Rose Grace, a nursing officer at Tara health centre III appreciated receiving the beds, noting that, most of those they were having at the health centre had broken down, henceforth scaring the patients from using them.
She is anxious that, the delivery of these beds will improve services at the health facility.
Mrs Ayikoru Jane an expectant mother from Lici village, Ambidro parish who had gone for delivery at Tara health centre expressed her dissatisfaction with what she encountered, stemming from scarcity of beds at the health centre.
She thanked Government for donating them the beds.
