Some people in this area said, the deceased Ocatre Benjamin 17-years-old who is also a resident of this same village, has been battling organ failure for years in the hospital and died yesterday Thursday 13-4-2023.

Sources privy to this incident leaked that, the angry Youths had planned to murder Mr Geoffrey on arrival of the deceaseds' body.

The police swang in action to save the situation and brought Mr Aniku Geoffrey to safe custody at Terego Central Police Station at Omugo.

What is believed to have become a cancer to the accused is that, he bought 6 acres of land with each acre at 500,000 Shs and he has so far paid 3 million shs for it.

Mr Geoffrey is a Tobacco farmer who is said to be earning 2,500,000 Shs to 3,500,000 Shs yearly from Tobacco farming, some witnesses reiterated.

Terego District woman MP Hon Rose Obigah who bought 200 Kgs of cassava flour, beans, sugar, fish, salt, tomatoes, soaps and paid all other expenses at the funeral, advised relatives of the deceased not to take law into their hands.

She said, it would be very awkward if the communities take the law into their hands by committing murder, which might have  probably end up with arrest of many people.

The woman MP urged people in Terego District to advocate for other peaceful ways of conflict resolution, like going to religious leaders for counseling and advise rather than resorting to mob justice or witchcraft.
