Stray Bullet Hits Arua District Health Department Landcruiser.

The officials of Arua District this morning 28-12-2022 woke up to an unfortunate incident of a stray bullet from unknown assailant (s) that hit packed Landcruiser, registration number "UAA 774N" belonging to Arua District health department.

According to information obtained, Arua City Police Forensic Experts said, the ammunition that was used to shoot at the properties, appears to be unique and not an AK47 Gun, which is commonly used by police officers.

From the accounts of the guards of Coperate Security Service (U) Ltd, a security company hired by Arua District to guard the headquarter, the bullet appeared to have been shot from the main road on the side of Arua CPS.

The bullet went through a thick water tank and later hit the bonnet and front mirror of the Land Cruiser.

The guards Mr Drazu Timothy and Alioma Philliam who were on duty in that fateful night have recorded their statements at Arua CPS.

Mr Sunday Onekalit, the regional manager of Corporate Security Services (U) Ltd said, their company only has SR Guns, a semi-automatic rifle which they give to their guards in various duty posts, a statement which aligns with what some of the security experts said.

The manager has pledged to cooperate with the security agencies in investigating this incident.

The Arua District Deputy RDC Mr Ham Ezama Mizamil condemned the incident and urged police to feed office of the RDC with comprehensive report about the incident.

He cautioned security officers and the general public to be at the watch out of any criminal activities amidst the public.
