Oluvu Health Center IV Construction Project Stalls, Engineers Resort to Selling Cements from the Site.

BMK Group whom Ministry of Health contracted to do the construction work of Oluvu Health Center IV  left the residents of Maracha District in shock after its Engineers and other workers on 28-8-2022 ferried 25 bags of cements to be sold in an unknown market place.

It's said that, the Guys lied to site clerk and other Health Center officials by alleging, it's their boss (Contractor) who told them to sale 25 bags of cement to cater for their feeding and transport from Maracha to Kampala.

When we got the information and then rushed to the site, we didn't get any of their workers or representatives there.

Many of the local laborers raised the issue of their unpaid salary, asking who will pay their labors if the contractor BMK Group has vanished away.

The local watchman whom they recruited, also raised the same information, saying, he has not being paid for two months now.

The Resident District Commissioner Mr Ayikobua Festus in company of DISO Mr Surundu Samuel together with Police Officers from Maracha CPS condemned the act of the contractor who decided to run away without doing the work they were contracted for and worst enough, they ran without paying the labors of the local people, one of whom confirmed that, he has 680,000 Shs which he is demanding from the contractor.

The RDC has directed security and health center officials not to allow anyone take anything from the Site until Ministry makes any communication in regards to that project.
