Team Chairman MK Project; Ministers Urge Mukono Residents to Embrace Gov’t Programs at the Launch of MUGOF.





Team Chairman MK Project , a vibrant  mobilization outfit headed by Toyota Nuwagira Michael alias Chairman has asked the Mukono residents to embrace government programs such as the Parish Development Model to improve their wellbeing.


Led by Jacquie Namyonga , the secretary General Team Chairman MK Project who was flanked by other executive members said several projects are being undertaken to by government to support Wananchi in the country.

Namuyonga and the members had represented Chairman Toyota who is an uncle to Lt.Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba, the Commander of UPDF Land Forces (CLF) at the Lunch of Mukono Guvnor;s Friends (MUGOF) on Thursday.


Hajji Haruna Ssemakula, the Patron MUGOF and CEO Hill Water Ltd said the association will go around the District(Mukono) to deliver  development in the area.


‘’We shall start with poultry farming .So far we have received over 120,000  broiler birds from the government .The association will empower each sub county in Mukono to develop the stakeholders and later the Parishes to Village levels ‘’, said Ssemakula.

The event which started with a process around Mukono Municipality was graced by Lt.Col.Emmy Katabazi, the Deputy Director ISO, Hon. Persis Namuganza , Minister for Urban Development  and Hon. Hajjati Minsa Kabanda , the Minister for Kampala City.

Hon .Minsa Kabanda asked NRM members to remain focused and support the party activities which are centered on changing the lives of Ugandans.

Other key stakeholders who attended the event included Businessman Robert Zikusooka, Director Rose Form, Hajjat Fatuwa Nabitaka, the RDC for Mukono ,Patrick Mubiru Deputy RDC Buvuma District  and Hajji Isa Musoke, Director Kisoga Farm who also donated Shs1m


Dr.Daisy Sonko, an NRM Leader in Mukono thanked Hajji Haruna for the mobilizing Mukono stakeholders to empower communities adding that MUGOF Objectives are centered at uplifting the community.


Amaniyo Dravile, a former Mukono women member of parliament aspirant urged members to embrace a saving culture adding that its one way of creating wealth and capital.She also urged members to embrace all government programs including the Parish Development Model(PDM).

The State Minister for Urban Planning and Development, Ms Persis Namuganza, contributed Shs 2M to support MUGOFU.


At the event, MUGOF leadership also took oath as they vowed to work hard towards the objectives of the association including welfare of members and good management of the association.


Team Chairman MK Project has embarked on a National wide drive to support supports and development among Ugandans through preaching the gospel of embracing government programs ,empowering young people , women among others.
