Indians in Arua City Living in Fear After One of Their Own Knocked Dead a Local Man.





It was at a time last this last night 19-5-2022 when Police fired bullets in the air upto 11pm to disperse rowdy Mob after Mr Odedra Lizabhai Omesh an Indian man driving silver Mark X registration number “UBG 043H” knocked dead a Lugbara man in the names of Ojoandi Ratib.

The fatal accident that caused the Body of the deceased cut into two by the speeding car angered locals in Arua City to assault the Indian Driver last night.

However, the situation was saved by the Leaders in Arua who called the police to intervene.

As a result of the Mob reaction last night, the entire Indian Businessmen in Arua City have today 20-5-2022 closed all their shops and supermarkets for fear of being lynched.

To counter such possible mob attacks on Indian community, various leaders together with the security leaders in Arua City have today 20-5-2022 deployed foot-patrol Soldiers and Police in the whole of Arua City.

As per now, it’s still unclear on whether the Indian Businessmen will resume tomorrow 21-5-2022 to open their shops and supermarkets in Arua City.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.
