Uganda Revenue Authority (URA) Soldiers Today Shot Dead 16-Years-Old Boy Jurua Bosco and Injured Another Woman in the Arm as They Scrambled to Confiscate Numberless Motorcycles in Arivu Trading Center, Vurra Constituency - Arua District.

Relatives mourning Bosco Jurua,a 16-year-old saloon operator who was this morning killed by operatives of Uganda Revenue Authority at Arivu trading centre in Vurra Constituency, Arua District.

The operatives moved from home to home looking for numberless motorcycles thus shooting the victim who died on spot.

They also shot another Afunia Gatrude for protesting the extra judicial actions of the army men at the same trading centre in the arm and she is currently undergoing treatment at Arua Regional Referral Hospital

The relatives of the deceased are demanding for full compensation from URA and want the operatives prosecuted in courts of law.

This is the second by URA operatives in less than two weeks in Vurra Constituency where last week they also shot another boda boda rider on Ovisoni-Logiri road in hot pursuit allegedly to confiscate smuggled goods from the Democratic Republic of the Congo!.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city. Drama ensued on Easter Sunday 31-3-2024 at Dream Land Hotel located at Kuluva trading center along Arua-Nebbi highway in Arua district when the legislator and the technician engaged in a fight reportedly over a woman identified as Faith Eyotaru 25, a relationship officer at Victoria University Kampala.
