4th-September-2020 NRM Party Primary Elections for Parliamentary Seats.

Good morning my Beloved people of Vurra Constituency.

I wish to issue the following communique regarding the recently concluded NRM Election in Vurra Constituency.

After a meeting with family and close friends, I have decided NOT to File a Petition, even though the lawyers say the grounds are valid. Such as chasing my agents from some polling places, Congolese coming to vote, manipulation of the tallying sheets by election officials, etc. There is no such thing as free and fair elections in many parts of Africa and the world.

When you hear some respected leaders saying Vurras ( here I mean Vurra Subcounty ) have "eaten" enough, its time for Logiri.

I refuse to be associated with such sectarian politics and rudimentary discussions.

I do not want to be a leader responsible for divisive politics in Vurra Constituency.

I know many will be unhappy with my decision but never the less I had to make a statement on the elections.

As the NRM Chairman of Arua City and Arua District and in line with the NRM Constitution and being an NRM cadre, I WILL NOT and SHALL NOT stand as an Independent candidate in the General Elections.

I will now focus my efforts on campaigning for HE the President, Gen Kaguta Y Museveni. I wish my people of Vurra the best as they start to self govern themselves in our young District.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night. Hon Oguzu Lee Denis Drags to Court, Maracha Constituency MP-Elect Uhuru Nelson and Electoral Commission.

Following the 15-1-2026 general election, the two term MP for Maracha Constituency, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis has dragged to court the Winner for Maracha Constituency MP election, Uhuru Nelson as the first respondent and Election Commission as the second respondent. 📸: Copy of the court document shared in NEWS PLATFORM, one of the WhatsApp groups in WestNile region. In a document dated 1-April-2026 filed at Arua High Court, it's not yet clear which grounds the petitioner, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis has used to challenge the victory of the NRM Party candidate Uhuru Nelson.
