Will they sleep on prayer when ill?

Instead of sustainably securing food to feed hungry unemployed Ugandans,

Will starving families eat prayer?
Will mothers fill our cooking pots with prayer?

Instead of freezing interest on the loans of Ugandans locked down for months,
He made today a National Day of Prayer.

Will banks accept prayer from imprisoned debtors?
Will money lenders take prayers instead of chopping off the fingers of late borrowers?

Instead of mediating between landlords and tenants,
He made today a National Day of Prayer.

Will landlords pay prayers to their loan givers?
Will tenants shelter themselves in prayer after eviction from the rentals?

Instead of availing education to poor children locked out of classrooms,

Will children study prayers instead of lessons?
Will teachers take prayers instead of salaries?

Instead of arresting the brutality of police, army and LDU officers,
He made today a National Day of Prayer.
God please beat up dictator Museveni.
Will civilians shield themselves from state violence with prayers?
Will victims of state violence nurse our wounds with prayer?

Instead of accounting for the billions of shillings accrued to prevent COVID19,
He made today a National Day of Prayer.
God please impoverish dictator Museveni.
Will Ugandans survive the COVID19 deprivation with prayer?
Will the corrupt thieves of public funds be punished through prayer?

Instead of removing himself from the forthcoming elections,
He made today a National Day of Prayer.
God please take the life of dictator Museveni.
Will regime change come through prayer?
Will Ugandans liberate ourselves from his dictatorship through prayer?

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city. Drama ensued on Easter Sunday 31-3-2024 at Dream Land Hotel located at Kuluva trading center along Arua-Nebbi highway in Arua district when the legislator and the technician engaged in a fight reportedly over a woman identified as Faith Eyotaru 25, a relationship officer at Victoria University Kampala. The scuffle started after Ayivu West Mp John Lematia went to swim at Dreamland Hotel with Faith Eyotaru only to find Ariko, who had gone to the same hotel earlier.
