CONGRATULATORY TO INDEPENDENT MEMBER OF PARLIAMENT ASPIRANT MR EJIKU ROBERT, FOR ARUA MUNICIPALITY BY-ELECTION WHICH WAS ON 15 AUGUST 2018.

I, Osuta Yusuf, would wish to thank Mr Ejiku Robert, Our Supporters, the entire Campaign team, Task force and the General Public, for working extra hard to ensure that we complete rallies / elections Successfully, which at last minute, delivered us at the third position in the recently concluded Arua Municipality MP by-election.

Though we finished in number 3, Our hope was to be the number 1 Winner!.

If i may not be wrongly interpreted to, taking advantage of this missive, to shoot at the Government and Our Other Opponents who were also in the race, there are some Loopholes that have not only affected Our Candidature but it affected the whole Voting process:

1. LACK OF CIVILITY.

There was lack of civic education and sensitisation of the general public about electioneering.

In 2016 General elections, the number of registered Voters, was about 42000 and if you calculate the duration from that year (2016) up to this year (2018), the number of legal Voters would have risen even up to 50000.

The current data from the Voters register of 2018, indicates the number of voters is 46000, which was 42000 in 2016.

2. INTIMIDATIONS AND THREATS.

The other factor that coasted us, is, Intimidation and Threatening from both Supporters of Our Opponents and also the Government.

Behaviors of Some of the Volatile Candidates, manifested into Hostile Supporters and Followers harassing the Opposite.

Despite of both the International Laws and National Laws being strict about the partisan militarization of Democracy, Uganda Government is a One nation which has turned Depth ears to all these National and international standards about the vice.

Mr Museveni has ever been using the Uganda Army to frame those who are against him.

He deploys the Army when ever he knows, his interests are not been heeded.

A typical example for this, is the recently Concluded Arua Municipality MP by-election.

Mr Museveni, after realizing, people don't want him and his Yellow NRM party anymore in Arua and WestNile region, he dispatched Police, UPDF and SFC to man the hotly Opposition dominated Arua Municipality.

As am writing this, the whole street of Arua city, is still with full of Soldiers and Police patrolling the City of WestNile.

But you see the God given nature gift with the LUGBARA people, they only fear Rain but not Guns and Teargas, not even anything apart from Rainfall.

On Monday 13 August 2018, which was also the final day for the Campaign trails, Government troops clashed with Armless civilians who were proceeding with their processions in parallel roots to the one of Mr Museveni, and the fracus resulted into shooting dead of Civilians and Several others deadly wounded.

Over 30 Opposition Activists and supporters were innocently arrested and seriously tortured, lately driven to be more incarcerated in Gulu.

This whole saga, seeming to be like watching a film episode, threatened People from Coming Out to vote on Wednesday 15 August 2018 ARUA Municipality Member of Parliament by-election.

Apparent total number of registered Voters, is, 46000 and Out of those, Only 16000 sacrificed to come and Vote.

Where did the hooping 30000 Voters Go? and Why did they boycotted Voting?.

Simple Answer, they were Threatened by the Partisan Military and Uganda Police Force.

Before, anyone queries me about my above answer, first ask yourself, "Has the rally of Mr Museveni or His NRM Party Candidates, being disrupted by the Security Forces?".

Enough of that.

Coming to my Candidate, We came in an abrupt and short period which we couldn't expect.

Arua Municipality MP seat fell vacant when Mr ABIRIGA (Rest in Peace) was shot dead by unknown killers on Friday 8 June 2018, near his Kawanda home - Wakiso District.

In Our LUGBARA tradition, we mourn the dead, for 180 days but Uganda only permits 60 days to mourn the dead.

We would have done the best but we were only time barred.

We won in the Third Position, Mr Ejiku Robert (Independent) won 2703 (15.76%) Votes.

In the second Position, is, Mrs NUSURA TIPERU (NRM) who only won 4763 (27.77%) and In the first Position, is, Mr Wadri Kasiano (Independent) who scored 6528 (38.06%) Votes.

At the beginning of the Campaigns until the End, talk of the day was only about the mammoth Crowds of Mr Ejiku Robert and Wadri Kasiano.

Expectations and thoughts of the people were not about NUSURA TIPERU!, if only, it would have not been the Cajoling and disfranchised, Mrs NUSURA TIPERU would have been in the Fourth or Fifth Position.

No One bothers at all with their yellow NRM party! They were and will always be known for such things.

This is not to Proclaim an identity of criticism principle towards the NRM Junta regime and its Cadres.

We were only New Comers and Our Candidate has never Contested anywhere nor in any elective Position, not even a mere Local Council One elections but we managed to defeat Political Prostitutes and Giants who have been there in the field.

You see how miraculous we are!.

Some of Our Political Opponents / enemies begun Laughing at us after we lost it. Where the hell can someone be turned into a laughing stock.

It only happens with those who are Undemocratic, stagnant, nor philosophical and Political Lepers.

Encapsulation to everyone, with team Mr Ejiku Robert, the STRUGGLE has just begun.

There is a Proverb, saying, "Never underestimate the power of a man when he falls down".

Sovereign Mr Ejiku Robert is a personality of all suffrage.

Mr Ejiku has risen, as a Messiah who would use all skill to paint your truly picture, and not flatter at all; but remark all these roughness, warts, pimples and everything.

Whatever else Political Party, inside and out look of Mr Ejiku Robert interprets in mind, a smiling image of the great bright future in him for everyone Young Generation.

He is not a Man to look at and you begin wondering about Political differences. No, not at all.

Hero Nelson Mandela Once said, "Those who want their Political enemies / Opponents to be yours too, are Political barriers".

And, this is what i have told to some people; In Politics of Some Areas, Political Party differences do not apply.
