Fate is indeed a double crosser....I hear Abdu Kitata's wife, Ninsiima, has filed an application in the High Court for a writ of harbeas corpus ( order to cause the production of Kitata's body before court ) in enforcement of the Constitutional rights and liberties guaranteed to any suspect. Ironically, the Respondents dragged to court by Ninsiima are the CDF Muhoozi and IGP Kayihura!. Currently, Kitatta is being held incommunicado, in a fragrant violation of the 48 hour rule entrenched in the Constitution.

I doubt that every time Kitatta mobilised hoodlums to invade courts to humiliate or intimidate judicial officers and lawyers, for the sole purpose of subverting the due process of the law, it ever occurred to him that he would once find himself in a terrible situation where his remedy lies only in courts of law!...It's a huge lesson to all regime apologists who are obsessed with impunity or one man's rule and would want to kill all state institutions.

That said, Kitata, like any other citizen, ought to be accorded the Constitutional protection he deserves, for he is presumed innocent until proved otherwise.
