Retired Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Stanley Ntagali has been suspended from church over adultery charges, Uganda Radio Network has reported. According to a letter dated January 13, 2021 from the Archbishop of the Church of Uganda Most. Rev. Microsoft on Thursday revealed that the threat actors behind the SolarWinds supply chain attack were able to gain access to a small number of internal accounts and escalate access inside its internal network. The "very sophisticated nation-state actor" used the unauthorized access to view, but not modify, the source code present in its repositories, the company said. "We detected unusual activity with a small number of internal accounts and upon review, we discovered one account had been used to view source code in a number of source code repositories," the Windows maker disclosed in an update. When i heard of the unfortunate death of Isaac Ssenyange alias Mando Zebra, Uganda's boxer and former captain of the Bombers. I telephoned his wife who narrated to me the events in detail. Zebra was an NRM supporter, and was mobilising for us so well. He was also training many youth in the ghetto and giving them hope in their search for meaningful life. Indeed, Zebra was meant to come and see me when he was killed. Zebra's wife told me people in police uniform came to pick Zebra but he jumped over the wall and could have met another group who shot him. At first I thought they were thugs disguising in uniform, but as I continued investigations, I found out that Zebra was killed by security personnel. This is sad and devastating and I AM VERY SORRY about this. Threat actors such as the notorious Lazarus group are continuing to tap into the ongoing COVID-19 vaccine research to steal sensitive information to speed up their countries' vaccine-development efforts. Cybersecurity firm Kaspersky detailed two incidents at a pharmaceutical company and a government ministry in September and October leveraging different tools and techniques but exhibiting similarities in the post-exploitation process, leading the researchers to connect the two attacks to the North Korean government-linked hackers. "These two incidents reveal the Lazarus group's interest in intelligence related to COVID-19," Seongsu Park, a senior security researcher at Kaspersky, said. Cybersecurity researchers from Facebook have formally linked the activities of a Vietnamese threat actor to an IT company in the country after the group was caught abusing its platform to hack into people's accounts and distribute malware. Google Project Zero white-hat hacker Ian Beer on Tuesday disclosed details of a now-patched critical "wormable" iOS bug that could have made it possible for a remote attacker to gain complete control of any device in the vicinity over Wi-Fi. The exploit makes it possible to "view all the photos, read all the email, copy all the private messages and monitor everything which happens on [the device] in real-time," said Beer in a lengthy blog post detailing his six-month-long efforts into building a proof-of-concept single-handedly.
