People of Maracha Constituency to Start Receiving Their Free Land Titles on 25-8-2025.

Through Competitiveness and Enterprise Development Project (CEDP), a projected supported by the World Bank,

Residents or applicants from Maracha, the only District in West Nile to receive free titles will soon start to receiving their titles.

"Following a call a to the Ministry of Lands and MZO Arua, I was able to confirm the arrival and readiness of the Arua MZO to start distributing more the 55, 000 r

titles. Stakeholders are informed that tentatively, the distribution and collection will start on:

25th August 2025 at Okokoro TC HQTRS for Kijomoro, Awiziru and Okokoro TC

26/8/2025 at Oluffe S/C HQTRS for Ovujo TC & Oluffe

27/8/2025 at Obiba S/C HQTRS for Obiba S/C

28/8/2028 at Agii TC for Oluvu S/C and Agii TC

Beneficiaries are advised to to laise with their respective sub counties to pay the 20,000 legal application fees to facilitate the collection.

Office of Hon. Oguzu Lee Denis as agreed will pay application fee for all religious institutions in Maracha County.

Any queries regarding the exercise can be forwarded to the District Land Officer or respective Sub County Chiefs.

Programme for rest of the Sub Counties will be issued soon.

CEDP seeks to improve the business environment and enhancing the competitiveness of Ugandan enterprises. It also focuses on land reforms and strengthening land administration to indirectly support enterprise development.

Ambassador Angualia Richard Perished in a Fatal Accident.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night.
