Hundreds of Mourners Paid Tribute to Arua Central MP Hon Atima Jackson's Mother, Priscilla Abiria.

Hundreds of mourners gathered on Thursday 31-7-2025 at St Paul's Church of Uganda Okuvu, Mbuya, to pay their last respects to Late Priscilla Abiria, the mother of Hon Atima Jackson Lee Buti, who succumbed to cancer on Tuesday, July 29, 2025, in Kampala.
The service was attended by government officials, including Hon Obiga Mario Kania, Minister for Lands, Housing and Urban Development, Members of Parliament such as Hon Ababiku Jesca of Adjumani District and Hon Lematia Ruth, MP Maracha East Mavengina, the business community, and the Lugbara community in Kampala.

During the service, Hon Ababiku Jesca thanked Hon Atima Jackson for his devotion to his mother, saying, "Atima, thank you for being a mother-loving son. You've done all within your means to save your mother. God knows why He decided to call her back to His Kingdom."

Hon Obiga Mario Kania also praised Hon Atima Jackson, saying, "I knew Hon Atima Jackson before he became an MP. He's a reliable person, and I'm sure your mother lying before us must be happy for you."

Hon Atima Jackson expressed his gratitude to everyone for their support and encouraging words. He specifically thanked the Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Parliament, the Government Chief Whip, and his fellow MPs for their love and support. He also appreciated the communities of Mukono and Mbuya for their hospitality and his family, especially his sister Grace, for fighting to save their mother's life.

After the service, the body will be transported to Arua for a vigil at Hon Atima's residence in Ewavio cell, Mvara, Arua City, and burial will take place in Otravu, Maracha district, on Sunday.

"May the soul of my mother rest in eternal life," Hon Atima Jackson concluded.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Surgeons fined $60,000 and banned permanently from profession after billionaire died during penis enlargement surgery.

Surgeons have been banned from practicing plastic surgery after a billionaire patient died during a penis enlargement procedure. Belgian-Israeli diamond dealer Ehud Arye Laniado, 65, died of a heart attack during the procedure to enlarge his penis at the Saint-Honore-Ponthieu aesthetic clinic in Paris. His star surgeon, known as Guy H, was known for operating on wealthy clients and he treated Ehud two to four times a year in procedures costing tens of thousands of euros. Wealthy Omega Diamonds owner Ehud would be operated on out of office hours. He had been having injections into his penis to make it appear larger. An investigation was swiftly opened into potential manslaughter chargers following his death, though it soon shifted to charges of failing to assist a person in danger, drug offences and practicing medicine without a licence.
