The emergency security meeting came after the joint campaigns in Maracha Constituency turned chaotic and bloody on Monday 7-7-2025 4pm at Andeni primary school playground in Oluvu Sub-county between the supporters of Mr Obeta Moses Drakua and Mr Uhuru Nelson, leading to physical fights in which more than 10 people who are supporters of both Obeta Moses and Uhuru Nelson are said to be nursing injuries and fractures in the hospital as a result of the weapons they used during the physical backlash.

Mr Uhuru also accused some of the Sub-county NRM Registrars and officials of favoring Mr Obeta Moses by not reigning in him and his supporters when they started to make noise at the rally.
In his recommendations, Uhuru suggested continuation of the joint campaigns but with strict adherence to the guidelines.

Unlike Mr Uhuru Nelson and Drasiga Dan Elvis, who proposed the continuation of the joint campaigns, Mr Obeta requested that the district security committee and the NRM Party leadership at the district ban the joint campaigns, citing danger to his life if the rallies continue in the current manner.

He equally proposed for the continuation of the joint campaign and urged the two candidates, Mr Obeta Moses Drakua and Uhuru Nelson, to regulate and control their agents and supporters to avoid unnecessary fracas in the joint campaigns.
