Edema John Bosco Toured Maracha East Constituency in Trying to Understand the Challenges of the People.

9-June-2025.
Dear Team, Supporters and followers.
Over the past two days, the crowds we engaged were not part of pre-arranged rallies, with the exception of our brief visit to Oniba Catholic Church, specifically inside the church. There, we had only planned a moment of prayer and interaction, not a detailed address.
I would like to extend my sincere gratitude to the Christians of Oniba for their unwavering faith.
The church is well-constructed and excellently maintained by devoted believers both within the community and in the diaspora. The warm reception we received reinforced my belief that the love of God is best expressed through love for one another, as our Lord Jesus commanded. Thank you for your gracious welcome.
In an effort to deepen our understanding of the constituency and our people, we embarked on an exploratory journey through various parts of Maracha primarily both West par and East ,including areas we had never previously visited. Our goal was to familiarize ourselves with the communities and observe both parish and district boundaries. We reached the borders of Maracha East with Maracha Constituency to the south, Arua District to the southeast, Terego to the east, Yumbe to the northeast, Koboko to the north, and the Democratic Republic of Congo to the west. (As illustrated in the attached photo: Congo lies to the left of the road, and Uganda to the right.)
Interestingly, I learned that some registered voters of Maracha East reside across that international border, yet frequently cross into Uganda due to familiar ties. While this reveals the deep social connection between our peoples, it also raises complex legal concerns regarding voter registration,an issue that must be addressed appropriately.
Our team also sought to identify the key challenges affecting these border communities. Along the way, we were warmly welcomed by enthusiastic citizens. Though we did not intend to hold any rallies, we could not ignore the overwhelming calls for engagement from the people.
Looking ahead, our next official campaign rally is scheduled for this coming Sunday at Ajikoro also known as Kampala, in Paranga Subcounty.
In addition, we will be collecting our nomination forms this week, marking yet another significant milestone in our journey.
I have summarized this recent tour in a separate brief (photo slides)for your reference. I can confidently say that we are making meaningful progress, and I am deeply encouraged by the goodwill we continue to receive.
Lastly, I urge all our supporters to maintain a spirit of respect and to refrain from attacking other candidates or their associates. Let us remain focused on our message and vision, regardless of the outcome.
I give thanks to the Almighty for the strength and love we have experienced so far.
Sincerely,
Edema John Bosco
MP Aspirant – Maracha East
