The 8 Sub-counties in Maracha Constituency have on Thursday 3-October-2024 received some facilitation to commemorate the upcoming Independence Day Celebration.

Following a letter by the Sub-counties in Maracha Constituency requesting Politicians and well wishers to donate funds for organizing and celebrating 9-October-2024 Independence Day in the various Sub-counties, Mr Uhuru Nelson, an Aspirant on NRM Party ticket for Maracha Constituency MP seat in 2026 to 2031 adhered to the request of the 8 Sub-counties and donated 200,000 Shs per Sub-county as a support for the event.

The Town Clerk for Ovujo Town council, Mr Amandu Onesmus Tokoson while expressing gratitude to Maracha Constituency MP Aspirant Mr Uhuru Nelson and also to the incumbent Maracha District Woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer for their financial contributions stated that, the COC Committee in Ovujo Town Council are finalizing the preparations for the Uhuru Day Celebration.

The LC3 Chairman for Oluvu Sub-county, Hon Candia Joel explained that, as a Sub-county, they have a budget of 5 million shillings to commemorate the Independence Day Celebration.

Maracha Constituency MP Aspirant Mr Uhuru Nelson who was also born on 9-October Uhuru Day of Uganda, while speaking in parables said, the Biblical Cain and Abel were both hardworking but when it came to the time for offering sacrifices, Abel was very tricky and would not offer his sacrifices to the Almighty God.

Wedded Ayivu West MP Lematia John Fights Over Another Woman.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city. Drama ensued on Easter Sunday 31-3-2024 at Dream Land Hotel located at Kuluva trading center along Arua-Nebbi highway in Arua district when the legislator and the technician engaged in a fight reportedly over a woman identified as Faith Eyotaru 25, a relationship officer at Victoria University Kampala.
