Fugitive on Rampage; Murder Suspect Who Escaped from Koboko Prison in May-2024, Burns Two Houses, Vows to Kill More People in Maracha District.

Residents of Etoko village, Nyoroo Parish, Nyadri Sub-county in Maracha East Constituency, Maracha District are living in fear while others are displaced after a notorious man, named Eyotre Kennedy believed to be at the age of 33-years old who cut three people with Panga between 2017 to 2022 and he murdered one person in 2023.
According to the residents and also the local leaders, Eyotre Kennedy who was taken to Koboko Prison in November 2023 and he escaped from the prison in May-2024 before he was sentenced for murder, returned to Etoko village in an attempt to kill Amaokobo Solomon aged around 25-years-old orphan of late Mr Draku Moses he murdered in September 2023 but when he didn't get the orphaned first-born son at home on Monday 9-September-2024, he resorted to burning two houses.
Available information indicates that, Eyotre Kennedy who has for several times been taken to Maracha Central Police Station over theft cases, zeroed on killing Draku Moses for allegedly threatening to expose him and his dubious missions.
Amaokobo Solomon the orphaned son noted that, on that fateful day on Monday when he had gone to Alikua trading center to buy some items for home use, people notified him through a telephone call that, Eyotre Kennedy had come at home and he was looking for him but when he didn't find him, he ended up burning two of his grass-thatched houses left for him by his murdered father Mr Draku Moses.
"After Eyotre Kennedy killed my father in 2023, he left left a note on a piece of paper enlisting the names of people he intends to kill in Etoko village", Amaokobo Solomon added during an interview.
LC1 Chairman for Etoko Village, Mr Bada Anthony said, the violent behavior of Eyotre Kennedy has forced most of the people in his village to go and sleep in the neighboring villages and they only return back home during day time.

She further narrated that, their efforts in trying to put off the burning houses were futile as the culprit Eyotre who remained at the crime scene to monitor burning of the two houses, threatened to cut them with Panga if they dared to come closer to him.
A mother who decided to speak on anonymity because the deadly man has put her as one of the people he will kill soon, said, they nicknamed their village as “Sudan Zone” because of the gross insecurity they face, and she wondered if there is really a government in Uganda that can come to their rescue by arresting and sentencing to jail, the fugitive Eyotre Kennedy who is in hiding for numerous capital offenses he committed including man slaughter, assault, murder, arson among other crimes.
She added that, her grown-up children who do not want violence, have been displaced because of the chaotic behavior of Eyotre Kennedy.
The volatile situation causes by fugitive Eyotre Kennedy whom the residents said, he always moves with spear, panga, arrow and bow has from the past 7 years to date, made many people in Etoko village to flee to exile in Koboko District, Madi Okollo District and others fled to Kampala.
