Dead People and Outsiders Infiltrate the List of PDM Beneficiaries in Alikua, Maracha District.

Implementation of parish development model in Egamara Parish, Alikua Sub-county in Maracha East constituency, Maracha District has been paused over several irregularities concerning the list of beneficiaries.

📸: Attached here is the national ID from the PDM file of a man who the residents and politicians said, he died years ago but his name and details have been submitted for verification to benefit from the PDM of Egamara Parish.

According to the records and also the local leaders, PDM officials in Egamara Parish, Alikua Sub-county in Maracha District added and verified known dead people, known Outsiders and total strangers outside Maracha District as potential beneficiaries for the project, a syndicate which caused uproar from the residents.

LC3 Chairman for Alikua Sub-county, Hon Edema Robert Peterson, upon reading the names of Outsiders, the dead people and the strangers who infiltrated the list of beneficiaries, accused Egamara Parish PDM officials for adding their girlfriends and ghosts in order to steal the money meant to alleviate the poor from poverty.

Ondoma Hillary, a VHT accused the PDM Officials in Egamara Parish over disunity which has led to these kinds of irregularities.

The parish chief for Egamara Parish, Mr Abiriga Eric whom the residents and local leaders testified he was critically sick for so many months, averred that, his sickness delayed payments of the PDM beneficiaries in the parish henceforth leading to the discovery of the mess.

Mr Dramani Collins the Assistant RDC for Maracha District who decried the irregularities and threatened to order for the arrest of PDM officials if they repeat the same mistake again in the future, advised the Parish chief of the area to ensure all the 5 villages in Egamara Parish benefit equally by taking 2 Sacco groups per village.

The identified gaps and corruption tendencies by the stakeholders in the implementation of parish development model in Egamara Parish has prompted the Assistant RDC Mr Dramani Collins to direct Alikua Sub-county officials to pause verification of sacco members from the parish until the dead people, the strangers and unknown Outsiders are deleted from benefiting.

Ambassador Angualia Richard Perished in a Fatal Accident.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Photo by #Information_is_Power's news reporter.  This afternoon Friday 5-December-2025, a student from St Joseph Laboratory Training School in Maracha hospital, a one  Araku Denis drowned in Rokoze water body in Nyadri Sub-county and the  body has not been retrieved upto this night as the police and residents searched for it and in vain but they are expected to resume retrieving it tomorrow Saturday 6-December-2025. 📸: Photo of the deceased which we captured on his phone screen this night. Araku and his fellow students had  reportedly gone to pass time at water point after completing exams papers of today.
