The 2026 - 2031 MP Aspirant for Maracha Constituency, Mr Uhuru Nelson has paid money for buying ironsheets and the labour for roofing Nyamio Church in Nyamio Parish, Oluvu Sub-county in Maracha District.

During a heavy rainfall in July 2024, Wind blew off 7 iron sheets roofed on the Church, leaving the Christians to suffer when it rains on Sundays or on Choir practice sessions.

Mr Uhuru gave money to buy the 7 ironsheets and he also gave 100,000 Shs as labour for the people who will be coming to work on the blown roof.

Nyamio Church which is also currently been used as a Community school because of no nearby school in Nyamio Parish, Oluvu Sub-county has been in a dilapidated state for over 15 years.

Residents who attended the meeting on Thursday 22-August-2024 where Mr Uhuru Nelson gave money for labor and buying ironsheets to roof the church, were excited.

Lab Student Drowned, Body Missing in Rokoze Lake in Nyadri Sub-county, Maracha District.

Following the 15-1-2026 general election, the two term MP for Maracha Constituency, Hon Oguzu Lee Denis has dragged to court the Winner for Maracha Constituency MP election, Uhuru Nelson as the first respondent and Election Commission as the second respondent. 📸: Copy of the court document shared in NEWS PLATFORM, one of the WhatsApp groups in WestNile region.
