Christians Praise Hon Driwaru Jennifer for Donating Choir Uniforms.

The Christians in Oleba Catholic Parish Centre church, Maracha east constituency have on Sunday 3-September-2023 thanked the Maracha District woman MP Hon Driwaru Jennifer for donating uniforms to Choirs.

With the donations which started with Maracha deanery who received 225 uniforms, Maracha parish received 200, Offude parish 200, Tara parish 200, Oleba parish 200, the Woman MP hopes to rollout the uniform donation to all the 9 catholic parishes in Maracha District.

Member of Oleba Catholic Parish Church choir music committee Mr Ayiko Benard who said they used to borrow uniforms from other churches at a fee, thanked Hon Driwaru Jennifer for the donation and he appealed for more support.

Ms Harriet Wadiko, a song leader at Oleba Catholic Parish Church noted, they used to look disorganized in both song practice and competitions due to unmatched uniform colors, but with this brand of uniforms donated, she expressed optimism on starting to look organized.


Former parish choir Chairperson Mr Emmanuel Ocima stated that, no politician or organization has ever given such kind of  donation to the Choirs.

Police in Arua district are investigating a case of assault and threatening violence involving the Member of Parliament for Ayivu West Constituency John Lematia and James Ariko, a DSTV technician in Arua city.
